Jemsite.com was founded 11 years ago by an Ibanez enthusiast (Glen C.) who is still the member that leads the Staff that administers the community.

Jemsite is an informational site that encourages & helps others learn about everything from guitar playing to Ibanez guitars to specific JEM & Universe models, including setup.

The site has grown to over 18,000 registered members and countless more guests who make a daily stop to login & participate on jemsite.com. The community is unlike most others of this size in that is a close-knit group of individuals with a family atmosphere - that spans the globe.

What allows this to happen is that Jemsite is moderated and lead by professionals and mature adults who keep the forum friendly, helpful & inviting of quality conversation.... devoid of the typical "flaming" and "insults" you see on most message boards nowadays. As a result Ibanez employees from Hoshino USA & Ibanez LA Custom Shop read, participate and monitor the board for feedback, as do moderators of vai.com

This unique atmosphere attracts a diverse musicians, professionals, college students as well as grandparents and some women. People with disposable income who line up to buy $8,000 Ibanez Anniversary models. As a result many jemsite members tend to have large collections of guitars from all companies, not just Ibanez. Many long-time members do not own JEM or Universe guitars.
