Bobby Disorder isn't your average Guitar Hero. Not the kind we're used to featuring on Jemsite, anyway.

And yet his humor, unconventional wisdom, and expertise in video games and music have made him an asset to the Audio Porn Central family.

Audio Porn Central being the ultra sassy music blog dedicated to hot, juicy downloads, comments, and sounds. Don't let the name fool you. It's actually quite intense.

And Bobby Disorder is actually quite witty. With a name like his, who wouldn't be?

We had the chance to check out BD and his digs on the Audio Porn site and we liked what we saw so we had to get the goods first hand from him. First up on the list, what makes you think you're cool enough to be a Guitar Hero anyway.

How did you get the name Bobby Disorder?

Believe it or not, that’s my given name… OK, it’s not… I made it via a Rockstar Name Generator program / script, starting with my own name as input, but then like everybody else, tried out a few variations. In the end I typed in the names of really sticky artists, and I don’t know who was it originally, but I fallen in love with this result, and decided to use it. It’s also remembering me the cool song of the Joy Division.

What makes you a Guitar Hero and videogame expert?

Absolutely nothing, it’s just a silly label. But Very Important Persons need that nowdays, so as like that, me too. :) Seriously: I am working in the videogame business over 13 years now, and had been in every territory (marketing, journalism, development). So I can confidently state, that I heard this and that about the topic. As for the game Guitar Hero – it is (was) a favorite (before it went into mass production, releasing 3-4 versions a year).

Why does Audio Porn need a Guitar Hero/videogame expert anyway? ;-)

Every editorial should have one! :) But really - sometimes I’m amazed what’s going in the media, when people who not really competent, are touching the topic. Music and videogames are not that far away from each other, so a lot of crossover going on vice versa (as You sometimes see it on APC as well).

Do you play guitar for real?

I should say: of course, but since even myself don’t like liars and cheaters, so I have to admit, that no, I don’t (it would turn out pretty soon anyway). Although I can play a few basic accords (f.e. Smoke Over Water by the Deep Purple), because at school I had to help out some guys with learning math (at the teachers order), but instead We had some fun, and there were guitars involved.

Who are some of your guitar influences?

There are many, but I don’t want to include a long list, so just picked three: John Frusciante, Slash and Billy Duffy. These guys had a great influence on me, and all three are true Guitar Heroes.

How did you come to work for AudioPorn?

I have (had) a sister site, called LOADING…, which was into videogaming mainly ,but motorsports, movies and music also (it’s closed down at the moment, and under reconstruction / reconsideration). APC founder / owner Simon Iddol designed the whole thing, so that’s the connection - in exchange I became the expert on videogame topics at APC.

What’s your background in music?

Apart from the musical kindergarten, unfortunately not much. I was involved in a couple of bands, but more like technical assistance, or roadie. Also wrote some articles and reviews in magazines for a short period. But I’m a massive fan, with interest in lots of different styles and artists.

Would you call yourself a Guitar Hero?

Absolutely not. But it’s a cool joke.

What can we expect from you and from AudioPorn in the future?

APC will rock on for sure. There are a lot of cool new ideas already, but I’m not sure, what can I give away. As for me, I really don’t know at the moment. I’m not really active on the site, because I fed up with the current state of journalism in my country (but I’m sending the cool links to Simon, whenever I find something). Maybe I will start to learn playing the guitar seriously, and become a Guitar Hero for real. :)
