Beautiful guitar, with quality craftsmanship
| Sound |
The sound is very rich and slightly bright. The maple really brings out individually articulated notes, yet leaves the guitar a smooth , cool tone. The electronics have quality comparable to Fishman, and can be easily adjusted to perfect the acoustic tone you want.

I would indefinitely bring this to a gig without a backup. All the parts on this guitar feel to be top quality and have held up terrifically since 1999. The only problem on my finish is a dime-sized nick on the face, just below the bridge, and other than that, there have been no problems.

-Amazing action/neck thickness for an acoustic
-Flawless piezo pickup system
-Grover tuners/easily accessible truss-rod.

-although I don't have a problem with it, some may find the fact that this guitar comes without fret inlays, other than a tasteful diamond at the 12th fret.
-also, there is no pickguard

Beautiful workhorse!

Don't let the thinner body fool you, there is plenty of tone to be had with this. More deep, rich, and mellow than bright and brassy. Which is what I look for. I strung mine up with Martin silk & steel strings for that softer tone, bronze strings really brought the brightness level up though. I used this live many times usually through a PA and a Fishman preamp, but on occasion just the internal preamp was fine. Mine is an older model, and I have played the newer ones and they are spot on. Great sounding unplugged too, and of course the thinner body lends itself to more comfort!

Factory set up was good and I did have to set it up again, much later on though. No flaws of any kind. The battery compartment is fairly easy to open and replace.

A+ for durability!!! Very dependable guitar, and as I said I used it for many a gig. The hard case was well made also. It has 2 strap buttons which I like as some guitars only have the one.
