Phosphor Bronze that burns too bright

Rotosound Extra Light JK10 (10 gauge) are UK made, Phospor Bronze acoustic guitar strings

They are priced at the lower end of the market as far as acoustic strings go, and to be honest their tone does give that away. They have a very bright sound to them and the wound strings in particular are more "tangy" than I would like. This is especially noticeable when you use a plectrum.

Finger picking does smooth things out a bit but I feel the difference is a bit too wide to make them useful for hybrid picking.

Sustain is good though, and this may be because of the brighter voicing that this is achievable.

All in all ok strings for the money, particularly if you are playing finger style. I think that if I was playing out I would want a string that sparkled rather than burned too bright.
