Coming from a mad Megadeth fan.....any Deth tab/notation book, is awesome. As with any Hal Leonard publication, its clear and accurate and just a great product.
Although Cryptic Writings isnt considered one of the greatest Megadeth albums, there are still shining moments of classic Mustaine & co riffs....Trust, She Wolf,Desintegrators to name a few.
All in all, a worthy book to your collection.

Liked about it

1- clear and accurate transcriptions
2- good quality paper used

Didn't like

1- After prolonged use of the book, the spine/binding has a tendancy to desintegrate......but thats with any book with this type of binding.....with little use, it will stand the test of time......kinda like Megadeth!!!
2- Black and white pictures give it a slight cheap feel unfortunately
3- As with Steve Vai's books, a great idea that each song should have its own pic/artwork.....unfortunately, not many other bands/muso's do this......it would make a good product great!!!
