D'Addario XL Pro Steels EPS510 Regular Light 10-46
|
D'Addario XL ProSteels utilize a highly magnetic, corrosion-resistant steel alloy that delivers super-bright tone without shrill overtones. They offer a palette of harmonically rich, brilliantly penetrating highs combined with pronounced, tight-and-tough lows. If you need a little more crunch, bite, and sustain, ProSteels are the string for you!

An excellent set of strings
| Comments |
I have used D'Addario strings since 1990 and found them to be an excellent string. Whenever I find myself trying another brand out of curiosity, I always end up steering back to D'Addarios. I have recently moved on from their Nickel Wounds to their Round Wound Pro Steels for a brighter tone, and less corrosion since moving to a coastal area. I found these strings to have a great tone that lasts, I was surprised it took me so long to find and try the Pro Steels. One thing is they do have a slightly different feel to bottom strings being 'Round Wound'. At first the fingers don't seem to slide up the strings as frictionless as the EXL 110s, however I don't even notice this now, they are very comfortable to play. A great set of strings, highly recommended. I really love the brighter tone.
