dean markley 2805 cl

Comments the cl 2805s are a custom guage set of nickle and steel wound strings, 09-11-16-26-36-46. split between a heavier low bottom 10 guage and lighter high 9 guages. this is perfect for those who want a some extra thickness in the low end while maintaining the lighter high end of feel when playing.

Liked about it i've used and tried a couple of different sets of dean markley and found that they do have a significant life span and seem to still play well even when they come to the end of their practical life. the feel of the 2805 cl's are a touch on the warmer but clear and articulate side. the dean markley strings in general have a well balanced stiffness to the strings, not overwhelmingly stiff but by no means slinky.

Didn't like the only bad thing i can say is trying to find them locally... forget it. mail order only for the most part on this item. unless you have one of the hippest music shops around

Without fail the best string out there!

Comments When you first start playing guitar you should be encouraged to play as many different brands of strings as possible! I had gone through many different brands as a young player, before getting to Dean Markley. They made you feel like a better player, they sounded crisper, and that sound lasted so much longer than any other brand. Not to mention that breaking a string seemed like it would never happen, and I find that it rarely does. Over the years you find yourself in situations where you have no alternative but to use a different brand of string, and always I am disappointed by the comparable brands that are out there! Across the board from their ELP, Regulars, and Blue Steels to their signature lines they are a proven hit!!

Liked about it 1) Long life
2) Superior long lasting tone
3) Consistent value..

Didn't like 1)Wish their single strings were more accessible...
