Yes, these strings are really blue, and they really do shine like a peacocks tail! The also match (in my mind anyway) with my hot pink strat.

The coating is not just a gimmick. It adds a stretchy quality to the string and a slick feeling that I have found to translate into longer playing times. I suffer from eczema on my fingers, and these are definately the most comfortable strings to play that I have come across.

The downside of this coating is that it does deaden the tone slightly and reduce the acoustic volume, but you wouldn't notice this when plugged in. For an eighties rocker, these are a must!

Liked about it	Slick coating makes them easier to play They feel more comfortable than other strings They feel more stretchable. I have them on many guitars (in a variety of colours) and I am yet to break a string.
Didn't like	The coating does wear off, particularly in the picking area The acoustic tone is not the best, but you can't tell the difference when they are amplified People keep giving me what I am beginning the to recognise as "that look"
