Excellent strings at an affordable price

Comments Whenever it comes to restring its either Daddario or Ernie ball! Ernie Ball is the leader in sales when it comes to srings and its for good reason. Just flip over the package and check out the Ernie Ball roster. Artists like; John petrucci, Jimmy Page and Paul Gilbert, are all avid Slinky users. This string manufacturer also produces sets in nearly every configuration and string gauge. There is something for everyone. I personally prefer to use the 10-46 set, but I think I have experimented with nearly every gauge throughout the years.

Liked about it The first thing you notice when you get back of EB's is the sealed package. Years prior, the strings used to come in an unsealed plastic package that was more susceptible to exposing the unused strings to environmental factors. The newly improved package keeps the strings fresher longer. The strings resonate and amplify just nicely. You can expect a quality product when you choose Ernie Ball strings. The string life surpasses nearly all other string manufacturers. They sound great, they play great, and they have an Iconic packaging design, these strings are an all around win!

Didn't like With the newly improved sealed package, these strings are perfect in every way. Long lasting, durable, and dependable, are what strings should be and these certainly fit that description. If your just starting out on guitar, or if you have been playing for many years, chances are you have used this product before and its no coincidence!

Best strings for me.

Comments I have used a lot of different strings over the years and yet I always come back for some ernie balls. They are, by far, my most used strings and I love them.

Liked about it The tone is very bright and it doesn't die too quickly. Most of the strings I've used go dead after a week or so and I think it's because of my playing style. I like to hit the strings pretty hard sometimes and some of the strings just can't take it. These last with my playing style longer.

Packaging is good, I like it more than those normal plastic packages like D'addario's.

Didn't like They're sometimes hard to find. Like everytime I walk to my local music shop (any of them), these are always sold out. So, I'll buy them online. Much easier to find, but the postal service can be a bit slow sometimes.

You can't buy them in bulk packages. That's the worst part. I can get D'addarios on bulk, so why not these? I'm glad I found a 3bay seller that sells these in bigger packages with quantity discount.

The most durable strings I've ever used

Comments I, knock on wood, have never broken a pair in the past 10 years that I've been using Ernie Ball strings. They are very reliable! I can always count on them and have no worries on stage.

Liked about it Their strength and sound are the best part about them.

Didn't like The only minor thing I dislike is that they tend to deaden out fairly fast. Probably a little faster than other nickel wound strings I've used.

Widely used regular slinkies

Comments Not the strings for me I started off using EB's like most players tend to, however I usually had to change strings after two weeks, these dont seem to go well with my acidity and could even start going bad after two hours of playing.not too mention i've had the most string breakages with slinkies..
I have also tried the 9-42 guage and hybrid slinkies of 9-46, and had as much luck with those...
Yes they probably have the most endorsees for strings however if the artist aren't being paid they are getting the strings for free or very low cost...

Liked about it Widely available and usually the cheapest in stores, which is handy if your stuck and need strings fast...
IE if your in a place doing a gig that evening or day and a string breaks you could probbaly find any store and they would have them, most of the stores i've been to have these in stock...

Didn't like The lack of life they had for me, wasent perticularly enthused by the tone and the ferquent string breakages, which was a pain on Floyd/double locking Vibrato bridges.

Infact I dont think i've had any breakages since changing to Labella and Rotosound strings...
