Hot semi-hollow tone for a cool price!!!
Sound
I play mostly rock guitar and this guitar fits right into the mix with no problem. As I've said before, my experience is that Epiphone guitars have hot stock pickups and this guitar is no exception. The variance in tone that can be coaxed from it is a combination of how you play, how you set the controls (a master volume and a master tone with 3-way pickup selector switch) and what amp you choose. Run this guitar clean into a Class A amp or an old Fender Bassman and you'll get full, rounded jazzy bliss. Run this guitar into a hot Marshall, Mesa, H & K, etc., and this guitar will burn. I was blown away when I plugged this guitar into my standard setup and got a hardcore metal sound on my heavier patches. The only caveat is that the feedback definitely becomes an issue at higher high-gain volumes. It definitely resonates--however, this is an extremely cool thing when you're playing unplugged. This guitar has great acoustic tone and is nice for late-night practicing acoustically when you don't want to wake up the neighborhood playing a full acoustic guitar; the tone is great but manageable. A friend of mine "borrowed" this guitar for 2 years because he liked it so much. When I needed it back, he went and bought one for himself, and his main acoustic is a Martin Eric Clapton model.

Action, Fit, & Finish
The fit and finish is what you would expect for a sub-300 dollar guitar. I had the guitar professionally set up (this was before I started doing my own work) and now it plays like a dream. If you've read my other reviews, you know I don't do "stock" very well--I like to modify my guitars, but this one sounds so good that I've not changed the pickups at all.

Reliability & Durability
Guitar has been solid. Input jack came loose once which was an easy fix, and the wiring came loose inside which was also easily fixed with some instant glue.

Never had to deal with them.

Excellent value-to-price ratio--ES-335 sound on the cheap.
Got me into loving the semi-hollow sound--I now have 3 semi-hollow guitars.
Cool looks--I have the white guitar that everyone calls my "Tuxedo" guitar.

Craftmanship was a little off, but remember the price.
Didn't come with a case or bag, but again, $$$.
Not easily serviceable.
