I got a Les Paul with a maple fret board and didn't have to pay for a Zakk model!

Sound	The Les Paul Raw Power has a maple back instead of a mahogany back and a mahogany neck with a maple fret board--the maple makes this a brighter-sounding Les Paul than any other mahogany-backed Les Paul. Also, the '57 Classic pickups give this guitar some extra bite that might not come through with the standard Burstbuckers. The attached sound clips go through each pickup position clean and dirty--they start on the bridge pickup, then move to the middle position, then to the neck. The clips were created using Line6 POD Farm direct into SONAR Home Studio XL. Action, Fit, & Finish	The guitar came set up with .010 strings and is the typical "Les Paul" setup--not too low and not too high--perfectly playable with just a quick tune upon arrival. I think they keep the bridge a little higher than normal so that it doesn't dig into the satin finish of the guitar, so there's room to drop the bridge if you like your action a little lower. No finish flaws on arrival (none still). I bought this guitar in the Satin Blue/Platinum finish and it's a gorgeous piece. The neck, although described as thin, I find to be comparable to their "50's Style" neck.

Liked about it	MAPLE FRET BOARD ON A LES PAUL!!! (Without having to buy the Zakk model). '57 Classic pickups instead of Burstbuckers. Seems (to me) closer to a Standard than a Studio.
Didn't like	Flimsy gig bag included instead of a case. I would have paid a little more to get a real case (and will anyway).
