One of the finest mid-priced guitars! featured

Sound Featuring a string through body, through-neck design and Seymour Duncan JB/Jazz humbucker setup, the C-1 classic is one of the few guitars that stacks up with guitars in the $2000+ price range. On clean tones, the JB pickup sings brightly with a certain complexity (thanks to the C-1's gorgeous maple top), but not so bright that it is ear piercing; it is almost, dare I say perfect. It also has a dark but articulate tone thanks to the rosewood fretboard. The neck pickup perfectly mates to it; allowing for smooth and mellow tones, but still keeping its articulation and never becoming muddy or neglectful of your pick attack. With distortion, it sustains with glory and the string through body truly shines, allowing vibratos to swell and your amp's tone to act be exemplified with the guitar. The guitar makes gain strong and prominent, with leads becoming prominent and rhythm's to power through with authority. The mahogany body blends well with everything!

Action, Fit, & Finish This is one incredibly well put together guitar! The amazing top not only functions to brighten up the tone of the mahogany, but looks great too. The vine of life inlay is something truly amazing to see. It's a little difficult to get used to playing with at first, if you are a fretboard gazer. It can certainly throw you off a little, but once you are used to it, it draws nothing but compliments. The guitars action is awesome! It was set almost perfect from the factory - I lowered it only slightly to compensate for my style, and after that never had to alter it again; and the neck never had to be reset thanks to its multi-piece design; VERY strong! The Grover tuners also keep tune very well!

Reliability & Durability This thing is built like a battleship. It is also as heavy as a Les Paul! Being made from mahogany and multi-piece neck and body equates to big tone and big weight. So, it can certainly take a beating and hold a tune, and the lacquer job also holds up well to scratches and finger smudges. I'd say this axe is of TOP quality build and durability...I wish I would have never sold it! :(

Customer Support Schecter Guitar Research has AWESOME customer support...I've had to call them for both their standard line and order a guitar from their custom shop from my store and they were both very friendly and had very adequate turnaround time.

Liked about it 1) Tone for miles.
2) Looks to die for, IMHO.
3) Very reasonable price.

Didn't like 1) Heavy on the shoulders.
2) Vine inlay takes some getting used to.

No complaint! 5 stars!

Amazing Guitar At A Great Price featured

Sound My review is for a 2006 C-1 Classic. The sound of this guitar is up to par of guitars twice its price range. The sounds one can get from the Seymour Duncan JB and Jazz pick-ups is really diverse and can get you where you want to be. My C-1 Classic can tackle my eclectic taste in music that range from simple jazzy chords to full on metal. The sustain on this guitar is also killer. (Maybe the mahogany body helped alot?)

Reliability & Durability I have had this guitar for about 2 and a half years and it has never let me down. I have dropped it and gigged with it numerous times and the gloss and construction of the body is still like new. The only problem I have personally had with this guitar was I thought the electronics were going out and when I sent it to a repair shop they told me i just needed a new cable ha =D

Customer Support I luckily have not had the chance to deal with customer service yet at Schecter Guitar Research.

Liked about it The guitar looks beautiful
*The feel of the neck is great
*The sound of the Seymour Duncans is awesome

Didn't like There is only one complaint that I have had with this guitar and thats the tuning issues it had when I first bought it. I fixed this problem by buying locking tuners and from there my tuning problems went away. (Locking tuners are standard on all 2009 C-1 Classics)
