Heaven Is Pretty Heavy featured

Sound Tried this one out this morning. I previously owned an Epiphone version, and I miss that one. Plugged in and immediately went back to Heaven. I loved my Epi, and this went WAY beyond it. The pickups on the 6 string side give you a great warm, smooth tone which can be pushed pretty far. More mids come out from this one than I am used to with other Gibson pickups. On the 12 side of this, is a beautifully balanced plethura of tone allowing each nuance of sound a chance in the limelight. Very clear and vibrant clean, and slightly pushed brings out the soul of it's sound IMO.

Action, Fit, & Finish This one is so new, I haven't got it home yet (hold for payments). Pickguard is aligned precisely (major eye sore to me if not right). Alpine White is not my favorite color, but someone in the paint booth paid close attention to this one. Something about the depth of the color stands out. It looks like it has the finish density of a bowling ball (thick). Plays smoothly though the selector switch can be accidently toggled. The gold hardware will fade but who cares, it gives it character. The balance of the guitar is not so great, it tilts hard to the headstock.

Reliability & Durability Judging by my Epi, this one should be every bit as good and better. Never had a problem with anything electronic that Gib/Epi put out. The weight of these things alone says volumes about durability. It's like trying to break the whole tree.

Customer Support I have actually talked with Gibson about my '57 LP and I have to say they are genuine. They take their job personally and made it a point to make me feel like one of the gang, not a deer with the crosshairs on it. They asked for my feedback with what I recieved to make sure it was good enough for me even after the guitar shop I got it through did the initial inspection/setup. Strongly support these folks!

Liked about it Sound is one of a kind on both 6 and 12 string
Incredible finish detail work (I will probably cry when it gets it's first scratch)
It's a Gibson, and that says volumes

Didn't like Weight, and balance. It is heavy as hell and falls to the headstock side.
Not a fan of the gold hardware
