Great alternative to a Les Paul Double-Cut
Sound
The stock Ibanez pickups in this guitar were a touch muddy for my tastes. I don't know if it is just a design oversight with the mahogany body, but this guitar was pretty dark, so I installed a Dimarzio Norton bridge and Air Norton neck. The guitar REALLY came alive once I made this switch. Also, they've changed this guitar since I bought it--mine has exquisite block/mother of pearl fret markers. The markers on this are the same as my ARX300. Set up perfectly out of the box with .009-.042 strings. Fit and high-gloss finish are perfect. If you're thinking of getting a Les Paul double-cut, Get this or a similar model instead, swap the pickups for Dimarzio PAF, Duncan Alnico II Pro, or Gibson pickups of choice, and pocket the extra $1000.00

Action, Fit, & Finish
I bought this guitar on-line and the only issue with it was that it fretted out a bit on frets 12-14, something that a VERY minor truss rod adjustment fixed. Top is matched and flawless. Controls are smooth and well-placed. The only weird thing is that the neck volume is the control closest to your picking hand. I usually reverse this for the bridge volume so that the neck volume is the middle knob, but that's personal preference.

Reliability & Durability
No problem gigging with this guitar--it's solid--I've played at friend's houses for hours with stable tuning and no issues. I've got two similar models and they're both solid and built to last.

Never had to deal with Ibanez customer support.

Like I said, I was looking at Gibson Les Paul double cut guitars until I found these. I played a Gibson at a local guitar center and once I had these never looked back. Mahogany body, great-looking top, set neck... this guitar is the perfect budget alternative for those who want that tone and don't care about the shape of the headstock.

Didn't like
There could have been a little more quality control on the neck truss rod adjustment, but as I stated, I also have an ARX300 and that one has zero issues, so I'd assume this was an exception and not the rule. Stock, the pickups are voiced dark for more jazz tones. You'll need to EQ or change pickups if you're playing anything else. Also, the neck volume control being closest is a weird design choice in my opinion, but easily fixed.
