Very sensitive. It is air-light, lots of tremble, kicky, but sensitive. Obeys when you can touch it, and better to do it with most respect - otherwise you never understand this guitar.

Let?s take a close look. This may be boring thing with stupid language, but this time i must do this - i cannot express this other way, ok?
I have to admit, that i never met anything like this before... This guitar is VERY special one, woodwork is totally flawless. It is almost amazing, that anyone has time to spend in this kind of level of finishing in modern days - reminds me statue "David" Really piece of art! This guitar has something, that 99.75% other guitars has not. This thing lives, it has own souls, it breathes, if you allow it. In guitar shop, you can try quickly this one, and think like "ok, nice, but not..." But when you have some time to spend, this may change...
Neck feels little bit thicker than Ibanez Jem?s, for example, but it is still lightning fast. Action can be adjusted very low, overall this piece of sculpture is... it?s like work of true master. Stephen?s neck joint is funny, it allows very easy access into upper frets. Nice thing. Guitar is very light too, very... how i say? This guitar looks and feels like top model in catwalk with those long legs? This guitar is bit of shy, too?
When i touched & played first time with this guitar, i slowly sunk deeper in it?s very, very exceptional nature. This guitar has something in it, it is very fragile, deep and sensitive & has own, sensitive soul, and you can hear it, too. This is NOT guitar for 100% R&R or Heavy - metal maniac, this is totally something else... Sound is very high-end stuff, in many ways. It can scream and growl; N4 has very distinctive, nice, airy sound with lots of kick in it, but still it sounds almost like air-light Gary Moore? It flows. Hard to describe, but really, i never have met anything like this before. Pickups are SH1N (neck) & Bill Lawrence USA L500 (bridge).
If you like this one, you must be artist; Poet etc. You must forget all those killer-class distortions in Death-Metal, if want to get closer into this fine instruments true nature - you must low yourself when you approach this one. When you do it, you can get all out from it, but you must respect it first. N4 acts like fine lady, shy one - if you treat it with most sensitive & elegant way, it probably exceeds all your expectations. If you try to use it like any other guitar and just play it - forget it! Do not pass this, is my suggestion.
Funny; Bettencourt plays sometimes like Brian May, and May has gentle, sensitive, creative, stylish way to play. This guitar is meant to played that way - in every aspect.
True tool for true poets.

No, strange but true. Perhaps body could be little bit larger, but this is just matter of taste...

Nuno Knows How to Build 'Em!
| Sound |
This is one of those guitars that you idolize growing up so there was a lot of build up to playing it. I was fortunate enough to play a vintage model. It felt empowering to just strum it... Well the sound was pretty spectacular. Bill Lawrence pickups are pretty outstanding and it works oh-so-well with the alder body. If you ever see one, you should pick it up, plug in, and rock out. You won't be dissapointed.

Everything was excellent but I don't like the truss rod being located behing the neck pickup...not very fun to adjust action and neck tension.

Never had a problem and worked very well. One of the very few Floyd Rose guitars I honestly liked and could rely on.

Everything...everything about it was cool.

Well...the neck was cool but it was a little thicker than I wanted. Ibanez guitars spoil you.

Fine Guitar!
| Sound |
The damn thing screams all day! I am always down on Washburn, because they rarely deliver a home run for me! However the N series have just been great in general. Tense pickups really deliver a solid punchy tone, and not a bad clean tone either...very springy!!

The access to the upper register is quite handy. No flaws in the manufacturing of this...Seemed good right out of the box, but later did have to be tweaked a bit. Played through a triple rectifier

I would use this anywhere in the world it is always reliable, and very well made...The smaller body does take some getting used to and can throw you off if you're not prepared for it. The headstock I think is awesome...
