More of the same wonderful things that make the Jazz III so great featured

Comments I've reviewed the Dunlop Jazz III pick already (see http://www.jemsite.com/compare-guiar-cases-covers-straps/Dunlop-Jazz-III-pick/reviews/). As I stated in that review, the Jazz III has a wonderful knack of showcasing your picking flaws, which then enables you to improve your technique, thus becoming a better player.

The thickness and sharp pick also enables a nice strong attacking sound when playing hard, but also allows you to have a nice soft sound when easing off.

The one issue I was having with the regular Jazz III when playing my new band's music is that it was harder to do pick-slides due to the small footprint of the Jazz III. As a result of this I thought it was about time for me to try out the XL version.

Initially playing with the Jazz III XL took a little getting used to. Playing smaller footprint picks for a few years really makes a more regular sized pick feel very unnatural. After a couple of sessions I felt like there was no real difference for me at all. The Jazz III XL still has the same great tip, and enabled me to retain a nice sharp attack.

The added bonus was that when I wanted to pick-slide I had no risk of missing the pick and running my finger down the strings. It was always a gamble for me with the regular Jazz III, but the extra footprint of the XL gave me just enough pick to always hit the slide correctly.

So if you love the Jazz III's tip, but are finding the overall size a little difficult to manage definitely try out the XL version. It will start to feel and sound the same as its smaller sibling very quickly.

Conversely, if you are wanting to try out a Jazz III but the size is putting you off a bit, get yourself a Jazz III XL now, and discover a whole new way of picking fast and accurately.

Liked about it Larger size makes it easier for me to do pick-slides, etc.
* The tone and attack is fantastic, I cannot play with any other pick now.
* The durability is fantastic.

Didn't like I guess if you don't want to hear the flaws in your picking you probably don't want to use the Jazz III. I say take it as a new challenge, and you will be rewarded.

Solid pick

Comments This is a bigger version of the Jazz III indeed and it feels as good as one. I can finally move my fingers away from the string more. The smaller version of this made me move my fingers so close up to the point every thing I hit was a pinch harmonic, which gets a bit tiresome.

I found some techniques such as sweeping a bit easier due to the more relaxing size of the pick is self, which makes it easier for to to add less pressure to the pick then you would normally do for the normal jazz III. Now much of a difference with alternate picking as for it feels the same with me imo. Its a very good Idea to try this pick before you buy this pick to see how you would manage to use this pick, or how much practice you would need to use this pick.

The pick itself is very thick, I'm not sure of the actually number of the thickness but all I will say is that these picks will not snap, period.

Another cool thing I like about this pick is that its stronger then the smaller jazz III and the tip of the pick stays in good shape for a longer period then the smaller ones.

I still will always prefer the smaller version of this pick, but this pick is also good to have in your arsenal just in case!

Liked about it Size
Color, I will find it when I drop it on the ground!
nylon
attack/tone
True picking, shows you how good, efficient your technique is, and helps you build it with picking/speed practice
Great to sweep with due to its size

Didn't like The price is about it. but there are places to get these picks alot cheaper.

Comments these picks are nylon stuff and thick so they are strong and last a life time, they stay in your hand superbly.
by far the best bit is how much presence they give when playing, people say the picks dont matter, Well THEY DO!
the sound is solid you dont get clicking noise when you strum its just solid rock!

All I can say now is RUN, RUN and get you jazz III XL picks

Liked about it the quality is superb
the sound is best it just makes everything sound robust and present
the size, its big and comfy, i've played 2 hour set with one pick.

Didn't like the price, but if you buy them in bundles of the internet you cant go far wrong.
