Works for a JS too!

Comments I felt I needed the top-of-the-line case for my Joe Satriani JS6000TR. I will buy another of these cases if I fix up my UV or spiffy-up my AR7521. (Never use cheap cases for any guitar you like. My UV has "orange peel" from a cheap case!)

Liked about it It feels like a nice case. It seems well-made, the plush interior feels luxurious. As though your axe is being sexily cradled in there.

There is a nice-sized compartment for some case candy or whatever you might need to pack along with your baby.

It has the lock in case you feel it's needed.

Really... what's not to like?

Didn't like I have no complaints about this case. The price isn't that high and the weight makes me feels as though my axe is better protected.

Okay, I kind of wish it was a four-digit combination on the locks. There, I found a dislike.

A truck with a bed inside

Comments I have one of those "Made in Canada" hardcases to my Universe UV7BK. The guitar lies nicely inside it, it has exactly the same contour of the guitar body. I believe it will work also for any RG-shaped guitar body, even if it's not Ibanez. It's very sturdy, since it's made of wood (I guess), so it's pretty heavy. It has a lock with secret (3 numbers, 0-9), what is good, and it also has a lot of room to put stuff like cables, tools and even papers. If you use DiMarzio Cliplock straps, you'll have to leave the plastic part over the guitar, so it may scratch the body a bit. It's something you must take care.

Liked about it 1) Really sturdy;
2) RG bodies fit perfectly;
3) Lock with secret.

Didn't like 1) Big, much larger than the guitar;
2) Heavy, you must have a car;
3) A bit hard to clean the velvet inside.

Worth your guitar being safe? Oh yeah!

Comments If you have been putting your 7 string guitar in a regular 6 string case, I smell trouble.
For one, the neck is a little longer, well mine is, and the neck is wider as well.

Once I wanted to see if my 7 would fit in a regular case and I tried to put my UV7 in my Prestige case and it was not a good fit.
Really it wasn't even close...I could see what might be "stress points" all over her neck just sitting in it.
I do not want to put any unnecessary stress on my guitar when they are in "bed".
That is really when they are "safe" if you think about it.
If you own an Ibanez 7 string, it belongs in an Ibanez UV1000C guitar case.

Liked about it #1. Great fit! Made for a 7....hello!
#2. Looks great! My Universe looks so comfortable in it.
#3. Price! How can you go wrong with an Ibanez case? Oh that's right, you can't!

I love it!

Didn't like If you own or are buying a seven string Ibanez and it didn't or doesn't come with a case, do yourself and your guitar a favor and buy one of these cases...you wont be sorry!

Great high-end case !

Comments It's a nice case, maybe too big and to heavy for me (I've had problems for taking it inside some small cars) but it's ok. It has a nice black finish on the outside part and even better in the inside. It depends on the model, but I think the new ones comes in a "wine" dark magenta interior, and the old ones in light neon pink. Anyway, they're a good choice to protect your most expensive Ibanez Signature models, even with a numerical security code (that I personally never used). Golden latches and hardware.
As I've written in other Ibanez cases' reviews, I'll mention again which for me is a huge inconvenience: It's very hard to fit inside this case an axe with DiMarzio cliplock strap-ends installed on the guitar. Knowing that 80% of guitar players use this security straps or similar in their instruments, I think it should be considered when designing a "top of the line" guitar case as this one in particular. Hope this comments can reach the ears of people at Ibanez...

Liked about it - Suitable for a lot of different 6 or 7 stringed Ibanez models.

Didn't like - Price.
- Too big.
- Too heavy.

Classy, baritone-friendly case.

Comments TKL-made Ibanez branded case. Magenta Ibanez logo, tolex exterior/red velvet interior with very large compartment form-fitted for RG style bodies. I purchased this new in 2009 [and price-matched to an Ibanez M100C], shipping included. It's been a spare case that housed a JEM until I got a guitar that was meant for it - a 27" baritone 7-string! 6-strings look "small" and has "a lot of air" around the headstock area.

Liked about it Very solid case with brass latches. Have no qualms about the quality, 3-digit combo-lock latch and of course, the ever-lasting "new case" scent. Compared to the pink interior UV1000C [JEM1000C back then], the red-interior UV1000C cases are a few inches longer to accommodate longer scale Ibanez, RG7's especially.
I've taken the case around and it hasn't received any scratches or tears although i'm usually careful on how I transport a guitar. Otherwise, it does the job.

Didn't like Outer screws that's holding the wall where the lid is attached aren't aligned while the middle latch is slightly "angled". I'm probably being nit-picky but i'd expect the construction for a case in this class to be slightly better.
If you're looking for a solid case 6-string, even for an 7-string, i'd look for a different case like the M100C unless you can get one for a good deal, new or used.

A quality case

Comments When I buy a case for a new Ibanez, I usually go for the UC1000C. It will fit 6 and 7 string guitars. Since 7 string guitars don't fit in the JEM1000C, I j buy this case whether for a 6 or 7 string. The outside of the case is built like a tank and the inside is very plush and fits RG style guitars like a glove, which is very important to me.

Liked about it Will work for different 6 or 7 stringed Ibanez models.

Heavy duty! You will not find better case to protect your Ibanez. Unless you buy a molded Anvil type flight case.

I like that it has a solid locking mechanism.

Didn't like There is nothing I do not like about this case. It's awesome!
