I had a case very similar or maybe this is it? Anyways, it's not a hard shell case but its definitely more durable then a gig bag. The foam structure is pretty solid, its actually more solid then some lower grade hard shell cases. You can press down all around on the foam and it will not dent under finger pressure, which means it'll leave your guitar unharmed ;)
The case is approximately 40'x15'x5' and fits pretty much any style of guitar. The interior is lined with soft plush to provide protection for your guitars. It has two interior spaces and two outside mesh zipper pockets.

It's a perfect cross between a gig bag and a hard shell case. It's Very light, affordable and fits almost any style of guitar which makes it very versatile! The foam on this case is about an inch and a quarter(1-1/4") thick and a inch on its weakest areas! So you know your guitar is safe ;) Oh, did I mention it has a lifetime warranty?

The lid of the case would never stay open, I always had to hold it open as I removed or placed anything in this case; it got very annoying. The cases handles are located in the center which means when you place your guitar inside, the case becomes completely unbalanced! Your case will be more vertical to the ground then horizontal which makes it very frustrating when you're trying to walk
