these are great , they saved me alot of space i had guitar cases everwhere .now there all on the walls makes for a cool room too.i would reccomend these to anyone just make sure to anchor in a stud even if the drywall anchors hold the guitar you never know when a crazy friend is going to yank on one to test it.also if you own a paul reed smith be carefull the cushions on the u hook can eat through your finish on the neck i put a polishing cloth behind all p.r.s guitars to keep the powder from eating them.

i love the fact that they swilvel i have some crazy shaped guitars and other hangers i tried didnt cut it. they had them so crooked and could have damaged the necks. the ones i have have nice thick padding on the u hooks.
they are very durable and i have never had a problem with them function well and great price and have been around for a while.

i dont think they should send them with the anchors its begging for someones guitar to be in 4 pieces . every wall has studs behind it.
they need to be adjustable from wall to away tom compensate for clearance issues.
mainly they need to be a little bit more adjustable but so far they are the best ive found and cheap.

You can't go wrong

I have nine of the String Swings in my home studio. Who needs pictures on your wall, when guitars are just a whole lot prettier? :) Like the other reviewer I have mine all anchored into a stud. I don't think I would ever trust the drywall anchors to hold 9 pounds, I don't care what they are rated for!
For my Ibanez guitars the pivoting is very nice, as it allows the guitar to hang straight down even though the headstock is at a slight angle.
Having all of my main guitars at a convenient location on my wall actually seems to inspire me musically when in my studio.

They're very sturdy, durable, and the black metal looks classy. I've never had any concern about the guitar falling off of the swing due to the rubber retaining rings.

I have the same issue as DEADTUNES666: Large acoustic guitars aren't really held far enough away, so unfortunately their back touches the wall.

Great product...

If you need to hang a guitar, and who doesn't, you can't go wrong with string swing. Easy to put together, and install. Padding doesn't seem to erode over time. I've been using this stuff for about ten years and I have never had a problem. I have always mounted them on a stud, and never used the drywall anchors that come with it. The hanger pivots so that odd shaped guitar heads will still sit even. They make a few different models and I have always used cc01, the difference being that the back plate is a wood block rather than metal, and therefore I always felt looked nicer. It also comes with two rubber washers which fit as blocks to hold your guitar from slipping off. I never use them and my guitars have never slipped off...

1) Mounting screws should be a bit longer
2) Classical guitars fit kind of tight...
