Not a bad solid state combo amp.

Sound	The amp has three channels clean, overdrive 1 and 2. Each channel has its own flavor. Channel 1 is the clean channel, and it does cleans very well. Lots of sparkle and chime. Channel 2 is more of a distorted hot rod Marshall tone. Works great for classic and modern rock with distortion. Channel 3 is more of a very high-gain distortion channel. All channels have their own gain, volume and tone controls, reverb and effects can be set for each channel. There was very little to complain about on this amp. Are there better amps out there? Of course. However, the VTX200S is a respectable amp in its class. The effects aren't bad, as with almost anything of this type, flanger/phaser sounds suck. Delay and the digital reverb on this are very nice though. The chorus is decent, not great, but it really shows off the stereo nature of the amp. It has a stereo effects loop as well, a surprisingly welcome feature.
Reliability	A button on the foot switch broke on almost as soon as I bought it. It was an easy fix though. I didn't bother with a replacement, because it would just have been another one of the same. I have a heavy foot with switches and pedals too, so I don't entirely blame Crate for that. I did not ever gig with mine, it was my backup if my main rig failed. I have other gear with much better tone and kept this Crate around for lower volume practicing, and for lugging to rehearsals and things like that when I didn't want to take a whole setup. Other than the foot switch thing, I've never had a problem with it.
Customer Support	Never dealt with Crate.

Liked about it	Surprisingly good tones out of this amp. Effects section was better than I expected, and the VTX200S came with Celestion speakers installed instead of generic Crate speakers. I was also surprised to find that heavy duty casters were installed on them by default, which was a nice and handy addition.
Didn't like	Channel 3, the second overdrive (red) channel is essentially modeling a high gain amp, like a rectifier or something, but its distortion was piercing and mushy. I didn't care for that channel at all. The other channels were fine though. Some of the effects were horrible (phase/flange/auto-wah). Cheap foot swtich that broke immediately.
