My favorite practice amp! featured

Sound I mainly use this amp with my Ibanez S5470 Prestige, or Jackson KE3R and I love playing power metal and neoclassical stuff. This amp is perfect for that. Because of the type of music I like to play, I usually leave the "Insane" button pressed. It really gives it that super heavy metal sound that everyone loves. It is excellent for chugging riffs as well as ridiculous and nonsensical shredding. In all of my reviews, I mention about if the product being reviewed allows easy pinch and artificial harmonics. This amp makes it super easy. Making those Satriani tremolo screams is super simple on the insane setting. My favorite thing is that the sound is so crisp and wont pick up any unwanted noise. For instance, if you are playing and someone in the other room wants to talk to you, you can just mute the strings with your hand and not have to turn any volume know down. It will not make a sound. The bad thing is, sometimes I forget I leave it on because it doesn't make any noise.

Reliability I would not take this amp to a gig unless it is in a small room. This is a practice amp or beginner amp. It's perfect for bedroom shredding. But recording tracks with it would be fine if you have experience with mixing. I am new to mixing and adjusting levels, so I get too much bass and it starts to buzz no matter how low the bass is set to. This is likely my fault.

Liked about it 1) Killer metal sound. From what I have noticed, many people looking to start playing guitar is into the hard rock or metal genres. In my opinion, Line 6 makes the best metal sounds for the price and I think those people would really enjoy the sounds it can make.

2) Amazing effects. Chorus flanger, and phaser are my favorite! I feel like the tremolo effect on high sounds like techno music. Maybe that's what you want to play?...I won't judge.

3) Very affordable.

Didn't like 1) When the "Clean" button is pressed, the echo effect is automatically on and that button flashes. I got this second hand, so I did not have a manual. It takes some time to understand how everything works because of all the effects.

2) When recording a track, there was a lot of bass buzzing no matter how low I turned the bass. But I am new to recording and mixing, so this could be my fault.

3) I can't think of anything else that would be considered negative.

Great Little Amp

Sound My main guitar is a stock Ibanez Rg 570 MIJ. I mostly play metal. This amp is a great little amp. It has tons of effects such as reverb, chorus, delay, flanger, and four different sound channels. It is great for metal and has 2 different settings for distortion. The clean channel works ok but isn't great. It has so many options and sounds that are able to come from it. Overall it's a great little amp and good for home practice or beginners.

Reliability I've had this amp for 4 years and it hasn't had any problems.

Customer Support Haven't needed it.

Liked about it -Great sound and distortion
-Huge number of effects built in
-Option to listen to it through headphones or plug in an ipod

Didn't like -Nothing bad to say except the sound quality isn't as good at high volumes but it's only a 15 watt
