Good Solid Cab featured

Sound The sound is great when paired with the right amp. These were designed to be used with high power, high gain monster amps and their sound backs that up. They can handle all the loads and produce a thunderous low range while allowing smooth mids and searing highs. All tightly knit into the overall product emitting from the speakers. Other options with other tone woods in construction sound very different and equally nice in their own right.

Reliability Although I would not do this nor would I recommend it, I have personally seen 3 full stacks of this model take a fall from a 4 foot stage rise straight back to the floor. They were no worse for wear. I couldn't believe my eyes when I took them apart to do damage assesment. All good minus a couple of cosmetic issues that were only skin deep. That pretty much sold it for me. I would not question their rugged reputation or quality of construction ever again as I can personally testify to the contrary.

Customer Support Mesa has been very nice on the couple of occasions which I have spoken with them and were very helpful with my concerns or questions. They don't mind talking about the smallest of issues. If there is an issue of concern or question, they are there for you.

Liked about it Paired up with my Triple Rectifier head, this product is a beast. Can handle all the wattage the head puts out. Great overall sound leaves less room for worry and dialing in and more room for creating music. Easy to hook up with several other options as for resistance.

Didn't like Had to dyna-mat some spots in the cab due to feedback vibrations coming from the lower registers after palm muting at high volume.

One of the best 4x12 cabs you can buy featured

Sound My main guitar/ amp setup is a Gibson Les Paul with 490R/ 498T humbuckers through an Egnater Mod 50 with the Bassman and SL2 modules. I play metal and jazz styles. This cabinet fits perfectly within my style. These cabs are known for their super tight feel and excellent bass response. Both jazz and metal require a sort of tightness to achieve the proper sound. I think the key to the great sound from the cab are the Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. These are great sounding speakers for most any genre really. Some people complain that they have too much midrange, but I think they are perfect. If you are looking for a looser sounding cab, I would go with a Marshall 1960AV or BV which also has V30 speakers. To be honest, I don't really have anything negative to say about the sound. If you like vintage 30 speakers, this is one of the best cabs available on the market today. I should add, that this cabinet has very similar dimensions to the Marshal 1960, but a little larger. The difference between the two is the Mesa Boogie cab is built like a tank. There is no space between the baffle and the cabinet which really gives it its super tight full sound. It is rated at 8 ohms and can really get loud.

Reliability If anything, this cabinet is a little overbuilt. Absolutely reliable, hands down. I took mine apart (like I do everything to see what is going on behind the scenes) and I was quite amazed. Boogie uses an extremely think gauge of wire which translated to better tone. The center post was positioned exactly in the center of the cabinet. There are rubber gaskets around every place where there is a cutout in the cab. For example around the cutout for the handles, jack plate, and even where the back is screwed in. This helps to reduce vibration and also to make sure this baby is sealed. All birch ply construction, huge removable casters, super thick metal handles, excellent quality all around.

Customer Support Never had to deal with them

Liked about it Excellent tone
Built like a tank
slick looks

Didn't like Expensive
Some people may not like V30's
8 ohm instead of 16 ohm input jack (could be a problem for amps with only a 16 ohm speaker out)

High quality 4x12

Sound Very tight and focused sound coming from this cab. I use this cab with my Peavey JSX and the results are fantastic. This cab used to be called the Rectifier Traditional until 2005 when it was re-named the Stiletto. I bought leftover over stock from '04 and because of that my cab has grey piping. Where as the newly named Stiletto 4x12's have silver piping. I truely love this cab and will likely keep it forever. The 70 watt Vintage 30 speakers in this cab are fantastic sounding. Thick bass, punchy mids and cutting highs.

Reliability The quality of this cab is amazing. The tolex is great, the grill cloth is very rigid, and it has riveted leather corners. None of those black plastic or ugly silver metal corners here.

Customer Support No dealings.

Liked about it 1.Sound projection. My amps tone just leaps out of this cab is a clear and forcful manner.
2.Build quality
3.Looks. This cab is just plain sexy. Very modern looking that sceams quality. I often just stare at it LoL!

Didn't like There isn't anything i don't like about the cab itself. Maybe the price because it isn't cheap when bought new that's for sure.

My Favorite Cab!

Sound I'm using an ibanez sa32fx through a mesa Stiletto. The cab gives a great break up of the stiletto. The thing I really am in love with when it comes to mesa cabs, is it's almost like plugging through something that has a flat response. It doesn't taint your tone, and leaves it all up to the head for eq.

Reliability Amazing, been gigging for the last 3 years and I beat the crap out of it, hasn't had a problem one yet.

Customer Support Mesa's customer support is amazing, I would advise going straight to them on issues though. Never go back to the store, it's a waste of time.

Liked about it Reliability, built like a tank, tone

Didn't like Expensive, have to go straight to the company to get anything resolved, not the easiest product to find in guitar stores.
