Classic rock and blues satisfaction featured

Sound The first time I played a Delta 1x15 I simply was in awe. There is something raw and powerful about this amp yet it is capable of very sweet tones too. It's EL84 based so that should give you some idea of it's tonal range but don't pigeon hole it. It has a lot of versatility. The top end on the stock speaker is chimey, pleasant and not brittle. The bottom is full, tight and punchy. The midrange is not nearly as honky as a single 12 can be. Instead it has a very sweet tone reminiscent of a vintage Fender. Everything I throw at this is returned sweetly. It doesn't balk at grunty low end notes or stab with icepick highs when above the 12th fret. With the right pedal you could get some very heavy metal sounds from it but it really shines at classic rock and blues.

I use active, passive, humbuckers and single coils and this amp loves them all. When the amp gets warmed up it's one of the sweetest amps I've ever played.

Reliability A couple of issues here. I'm the second owner or possibly third. I got it from a friend in very good condition, almost new. The reverb IC chip was blown and one tube socket is lose enough that it needs replacing. The IC chip is an easy super cheap fix that I did myself. Otherwise no issues. Still I take a back up to gigs just because tubes and other stuff can quit and it would ruin a night to have to stop playing.

Customer Support Peavey customer support is the best in the USA...period. They sent me a replacement tube socket free of charge along with many other free items over the years. They allow me to keep my Peavey gear running well so that I can make money with it.

Liked about it I love the tone. The big 15 inch speaker pushes some serious air without being harsh or too loud. It takes pedals really well so it's easy to get sounds I like. Tubes are easy to find and inexpensive so from a workingman's perspective that is a big plus.

Didn't like It's a little heavy but I'm not really going to complain. I'm just saying.

Love at first sight.

Sound The first time I saw the Delta Blues I loved it, the classic/vintage look of the tweed style finish really caught my eye in a sea of black heavy metal looking machines. SO I decided to try it out and prayed that it would sound as good as it looked. I tried a few different amps that day as I was looking for a tube amp. I wanted to take a jump from solid state to tube. Tried a couple of others in the same price point but when I plugged into the delta blues I was hooked. I bought the 210 model and am very impressed with it. The lows are really tight and deep and the highs are not piercing. I don't use the reverb but it is there and has a different presence when cranked. The tremolo feature works well also but like the reverb I really don't use it. It is a two channel amp and the Post (dirty) channel is awesome. When you crank this amp up the distortion is unbelievable. Can get really distorted for some heavy rock or turn down the gain a bit and get a nice sweet distortion for blues or country. It also has a boost button as well which basically just boost's the mids. I'm not a big fan, I have used it for awhile but stopped using it. When the boost button is on you hear a snap when you turn the amp off. Didn't really like that. Also has an Eq for the Low, Mid and Highs. Works very well and comes with some suggestions for setting's for blues, country, rock and metal. The amp truly sounds amazing and is plenty loud, the two 10" blue marvel subs really hit hard and seem to hold their clean tone even when you crank the volume up a bit. The model I purchased came with a built in tube saver so nothing can damage them. They also do not rattle while playing. I have read that with older models this was an issue. Well Peavey listened to the complaints and corrected the problem.

Reliability I haven't had any issues with the amp at all. I don't gig with it so I don't take it very far.

Customer Support I have not had to deal with Peavey. I have had my amp for only one year and so far no issues that led me to contact them.

Liked about it I like the finish of the amp. classic look and easy to clean. I love the 2 ten inch blue marvels, nice clean tone and can handle distortion easily. I really like how each channel has it own master volume, and a volume for the gain, gives it a lot more variety I guess.

Didn't like There really isn't much about the amp I don't like. I'm not a big fan of the boost switch. Didn't really like the tone change when it was switched on. But that's just my personal preference.
