Versatility, Tone Quality at a bargain price featured

Sound I am using this amp with various instruments ( Jem777, UV7PWH, UV77MC, Les Paul Std 1978, Les Paul Special, Fender Strats, Teles, PRS Custom 24, etc...) This amp reacts really well to the player's picking dynamics as long as you don't have over the top high output pickups. From Crystal country clean, dirty blues to heavy Rock and even metal this amp does it all. I had my amp tech take a look at it and basically told me that all the parts except transformers are of equal quality to what Bogner Custom Shop uses. The Transformers are Korean made instead of the standard Custom Shop's Mercury Magnetics. Basically if it was to be made in the USA it would cost twics as much...

Reliability Downside: My footswitch started to devellop a mind of it's own after only a few weeks... I did not want to lose the amp for afew weeks so i brought it to my tech wich resoldered a few things inside.

Customer Support I first contacted Bogner and they did not offer any help... Then called Line6 wich hung up on me 2 times while i was waiting... I've dcided to spend a few dollars and save my sanity by having the thing repaired by my tech.

Liked about it LOVE the versatility and the range of tone we can get with this amp. The overdrive is really responsive to the player's touch and the onboard effects are relly cool except the spring reverb wich like everything simulated lacks in dynamics and personnality... I also replaced V4 for a 12AT7 just to tame the overdrive on Mercury channel's punch mode wich had way too much drive for my taste. It improved dynamics and torque while keeping saturation in check.

Didn't like The footswitch that failed... But besides that, i love this thing!!!
I have owned more than 38 amps from vintage Fenders and Marshalls to boutique Matchless and Bogners and for the money, none have come close in terms of bang for the buck. The tones are quite remarkable and the versatility is simply impressive.

I was expecting more

Sound I use an Ibanez Prestige with Dimarzio Crunch Lab in the bridge, Area 67 in the middle and LiquiFire in the neck and also an Ibanez UV7BK Universe with Dimarzio Blaze pickups.
I play classical heavy shred blues with soul....what a mix right?
I could not find the sound I need out of this bloody thing....I am sure it is just me.

Reliability I never used it enough to break it...whatever that tells you.

Customer Support Never needed to call.

Liked about it I like the looks. It is a clean head....no issues there.
I like the controls. Very easy to use.
Really I like everything about the amp....I just couldn't get the sounds dialed in for my taste.

Didn't like #1.At times I need gain, gain and more GAIN. This head just didn't have it in my opinion.
#2.Again I need the clean to be "CLEAN" The clean channel seemed weak and dirty when I needed crystal clear cleans.
#3.The highs were thin...too thin plus the lows were muddy.
Really I don't want to blame the amp but maybe the cab. However the head is in control of the gain not the cab and that is where it fell short, for me.
I am sure it will be a great head for someone else, I am just an ass ;)

Poor mans Bogner

Sound Guitars used were
Fender Deluxe Players Strat
Various Ibanez Rg550 guitars
Clean Channel on this amp is a dream has an additional boost for it.
The clean also has a gain and master with a clean/crumch toggle that changes the mid and gain voicing of the channel.
The Mercury channel is fluid and has a couple nice accents lile mid shift, bright etc..The gain is not Brutalz but can get a little fuzzy when all the way up especially in 20 watt mode..The mid and treble are very dynamic and will take a while to tweak in the desired tone as they work with each other not against..All in all it has the Bogner tone for half price,Just dont expect an XTC for 2000.00 less..The effects that are included are nice Line 6 delays and reverb...

Reliability No breakdown and I would gig without backup,,,,But hell im a risky guy so who knows..

Customer Support Line 6 is always good regardless.

Liked about it Ii liked the smooth Bogner gain.
6l6 tubes
Bright switch

Didn't like Parallel effects loops

Loved it at First Until I started to have problems

Sound I'm using Slash's Epiphone going direct in and a mesa 4x12. I love the tone I get with this amp. Clean tone sounds amazing as well as the distortion on the head. I play anything from blues to heavy metal.

Reliability The first show I played with it the amp died on me. I noticed it was cracking on my clean tone the day before the show and on my second song the amp died just on the A channel. Long story short I had problems with the head internally. cost me about $150 to fix and I still cant get rid of the amp cracking from time to time.

Customer Support I called twice hold was too long so I left my number to call back twice and never heard from them so I went to a tech to work on it.

Liked about it The tone is great and love the sound i get

Didn't like The problems I'm seeming to have with the A channel and my foot switch will sometimes add delay or reverb with out me doing it. I would give this amp a 5 but with the bad reliability issues I'm having it gets a 3.
