good, but not as good as the original. featured

Sound I owned this amp and only used it with an esp eclipse II with emg's and a hot rodded esp tele.
This amp is incredibly ballsy even at the lowest bass levels. Seriously ballsy....balls to the wall even.
The clean channel has more headroom than it's predecessor, but still has a dirt and grit that works well with single coils and humbuckers alike (it does have an arseload of hum with singles though)
The amp used to fit my style when i played doom metal (6 feet under, Black dahlia) it had the nice marshall crunch, with peavey 5150 sag, and squeals a la' mesa... Only used it with good results tuned at LEAST one step down. Most complaints on this amp come from people who try it out in stores at a fraction of gig volume and in standard tuning, both of those rob the glorious filth this amp is capable of.

Normally i'm not prone to hyped up products like Krank... this amp makes up for it though.... at a hefty price though.
You need to "Krank" this amp to at least three and spend more than 10 minutes eq'ing this beast.

In short, with a great cab, a decent guitar, and some chops this amp can satisfy most anyone's metal needs.
The boost function is nice for gigging but these days i need a dedicated third channel.

With less power i actually preferred the original krankenstein, it was plenty loud and dirtier at lower volumes but i cannot honestly say the plus is awful.

Reliability Yes, the amp is made just as well as vht and mesa and possibly even more rugged, always bring spare tubes though.

Customer Support Krank and Mesa support like no others, Made in Arizona by some solid dudes that are really helpful by phone and email.

Liked about it -He's got big balls,SHe's got big balls, Stein's got the biggest balls of them all.
-Ultra reliable.
-You get to say "I've got a Krank" scene kids faint.

Didn't like -Overpriced
-almost too loud.
-Jealous people will chase you with pitchforks.
