WIll replace half your rig!
Sound
I am using a combo of 7 string Ibanez Guitars and 6 string Ibanez Guitars, with Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups.
I play industrial and black metal.
The amp is great for various styles, but for my tastes, it does what I want very well and helps me improve my overall tone.
I had a pedalboard and tons of effects for live shows, but the HD147 replaced all of that, not only saving space, but set up time/
You have the option to select a head and cabinet, or mix them to find your sound.
The cleans are very crystal like and warm, the distortion is very well done, being defined, clear but filled with bottem end that rips your head off, chews it, and spits back the mushy brain matter in your face.

Reliability
I have used this with no backup on every show ever since I got it, my band is playing shows all over the city, the HD147 had proven to be reliable and in some cases, have no need to be mic'd up, as it is plenty loud.

Customer Support
I have not needed them, but the website is very informative.

Liked about it
Tons of effects.
Everything is adjustable and then some.
Can be used to record (as a Pod)
|
Didn't like
Only 4 "favorite" preset buttons (8 would be awesome)
You NEED a shortboard or a longboard to take full advantage of it's abilities.
No LCD screen to show your current settings.
