Love 'em so much, I've got 2
| Sound |
I have two of these cabinets, one loaded with Celestion G12T-75s and the other with Classic Leads. These cabinets sound really good. You get the tight sound you'd expect from a 2x12, but they're physically large enough to really project too. These have removable panels as well so you can use them either as an open back cabinet, or a closed back cabinet. As much as I like the sound of these cabinets live, my favorite feature on these are the mic emulator jacks on the back. Designed by Bruce Egnater, these jacks allow you to plug a mic cable directly in to the back of the cabinet. I've gotten to the point where I use these almost exclusively for recording. They sound great and they take the guess-work out of mic placement. I also use them in live settings where I don't think the local sound engineer knows his stuff about mic'ing guitar cabs. My sound is consistent no matter how knowledgable (or not) the sound guy is.

These things are built like tanks. I've taken mine to dozens of gigs. They've got a few scuffs, but they're built to last. The casters they put on these are really robust as well. Very well built.

looking for an alternative to V30's
| Sound |
do you hate how the sound projection is so radical in a v30 from standing in front of it vs on the side. the nxt celestion fixes that. perfect projection. sounds the same standing off to the side or standing right in front of it. it gets better this 2 x 12 speaker cab.... weights 38lbs! comes with mic emulators to run straight into an audio interface. whose making better cabinets?

in all actuality, 15 yrs of playing, never had a problem with a cabinet.

sound projection is even no matter where you stand near, far or off to the side of the cabinet. it doesnt weight much, 38lbs. and just sounds good, clear and defined. mic emulators are useful not just an option to lure you in.
