other gear used, high end boost pedal, custom jem/korina, dimarzio d-activators. hard rock/metal. the randall mts series plexi module is a med gain module. do not expect to get an 80's hairband or metal sound out of this unit stock. its a darker sounding module which has complex mids. what i mean by that is, it reacts well to scooping the mids without clouding up. this module can be modified by many knowledable amp guys. the right amp modifier can make this a high gain module pretty easily making it ideal for 80's metal and hairband sounds.

the plexi module reacts well to a quality signal boost. most people who opt for the randall mts have an understanding of the flexibility of the series and its capabilities. especially when delving into the modification aspect.

some modules overlap each other in sound and tone. buyer should know a little about what their getting into before purchasing. with a research this can be avoided
