Baddest Solid State amp head available today. featured

Sound Used this amp with all my humbucker equipped guitars, the best results coming from my Ibanez s2170 with emg 81,85 set. I play deathcore, metalcore, thrash, pretty much anything hardcore and this amp fits them all like a glove.
The ads for this amp said you could get almost any metal tone you could think of in your head. That may be a little stretch but the amp is truly veratile.
400watts at 4 ohms, 480...yes 480watts at 2 ohms..... that's earth shaking power!, easily powering 2 4x12 cabs loaded with 100watt celestions and causing them to roar with authority.
The clean channel has gain and level controls but it never really distorts.
The overdrive channel is sickkkkkkkkk, it has the tightest rhythymn you could ask for with pinch harmonics jumping from the strings with the smallest effort required. This channel is reminiscent of a colder Recto red channel. It works well for 6,7, and 8 strings at all tunings (where other high gain amps like the K-stein work best detuned).
The Tube O.D channel has tight/loose and bright switches that make is go from a Framus Cobra type drive to a 5150 kind of sag drive (notice i said "kind" and "type" as no amp is going to sound just like another)
The tube o.d on tight makes it like a hybrid of tube drive and ss drive, but with it on loose the MOSFET power section emulates the feel of pick attack and power from a proper tube amp. It sounds very very similar to a modded 6505 and is perfect for tremelo picking, solos, tapping, whatever dark arts you use for your metal needs.

All three of the previous channels can have this amps' secret weapon activated and it will take transform them instantly, I am speaking of the 6 band graphic EQ with up to 12 db boost or cut, of course footswitchable as is the effects loop.

With the graphic eq, the effects loop (footswitchable, and you can choose to run it series or parallel:), there are tons and tons of options for tweeking your tone.

The only real drawback is that when using excessive gain or volume (that the amp has in spades) the amp gets quite noisy. Using an ISP decimator or a Boss NS-2 is a good fix.

They density knob and master presence really make a difference in your bass and mid punch, but in reality, at any setting this amp really slays.

Reliability There were some faults in the first models, but Randall has taken care of most customers including band mates and friends of mine.
I use mine without a backup constantly.

Customer Support I have tried to get information on a few of their pre-washburn amps from them to no avail.
They have been helpful to some of my friends with their online manuals and G series advice.

Liked about it -Tremendous Power (up to 480 watts!)
-Built in Graphic eq can be used on any channel.
-Variety of gain types is astounding.

Didn't like -Hissy at high gain/volume levels.
-Heavy weight.
-Short power cord.
