Very cool practice tool with great sounds.

I've plugged everything into this little amp--Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, Ibanez, Junkers... can't get a bad sound out of it. The things that make this amp great are as follows--good number of COSM amp models with Boost switch for each, providing ample different sounds--true stereo amps... you don't really notice it until you turn on the stereo effects, but engage the chorus or the delay and the sound on this little amp becomes HUGE. Turn it up and watch all the jaws drop. You'd think that with four little 4" speakers it would sound weird, flat, etc. but Roland obviously has some tricks up their sleeves on this one. Also, you get the on-board Rhythm Coach which is basically a metronome that's less boring. There are thirteen drum "types" (Rock, Blues, Jazz, etc.) with three variations each, providing 33 different variations. Every guitar lesson I've ever had, heard, seen, etc. says "Play with a metronome" and this amp makes it easy AND fun. Plus, it runs on batteries, so you can take it with you wherever you go. How cool is THAT??? On-board chromatic tuner, headphone jack, and you're out of excuses...

Great COSM sounds.
Great drum loops make it an excellent practice tool.
Better guitar sounds than in comparable practice combos.

| Didn't like |
Drum loops could have better accompanying instruments.
Gets slightly brittle at higher volumes.
