Boss LS-2 Line Selector Featured

The Boss LS-2 Line Selector/Power Supply makes it easy to switch settings among several effects and to route input and output signals. 2 line loops and 6 looping modes provide a wide variety of applications. Used with an AC adapter, the LS-2 can supply 9V DC power to several Boss compact pedals. An ideal supply and switching unit for multiple effects setups.

Versatile signal rounting pedal featured

Ease Of Use This little guy is pretty self explanatory. Just think of it as a foot-switchable two channel mixer (with no 'main volume') with lots of routing options. In a pedal like this, you basically want the same tone that you put into it, come out of it. They only thing affected should be volume. This pedal seems to be pretty transparent. It may not be quite as transparent as a true bypass looper, but it isn't anything you would hear unless you were Eric Johnson. You basically have two loops, a MAIN input and an output, a rotary selector switch for changing modes, and individual volumes for each loop. Just plug in, plug whatever you want into the loops, set your volumes, set your mode, and your are ready to rock. Even though I don't uses this on my board now, I have found many uses for it over the years. I have no plans to sell it.

Sound My main guitar/ amp setup is a Gibson Les Paul with 490R/ 498T humbuckers through an Egnater Mod 50 with the Bassman and SL2 modules. I use either a Marshall or Mesa 4x12 cab. Like I said above, this guy is pretty transparent as far as Boss pedals go. The volumes obviously affect your sound, but not 'tone-wise'. So as far as sound quality goes, it doesn't really change anything, so it does a great job of keeping your tone unaltered. I used to use this in a big pedal board to switch from a 'lead' signal patch to a 'clean' signal path. That way I could have my pedals on in each path and just hit this pedal instead of turning a whole bunch on and off.

Reliability Very reliable as are most Boss pedals.

Customer Support Never had to deal with them

Liked about it Lots of routing, switching options
Reliable
Doesn't alter tone much if at all

Didn't like Can get crowded with lots of cables hooked up
Would like multiple foot-switches to take advantage of more mode possibilities
Would be nice to have a notch in the center of each volume pot to 'feel' when you are back in the middle
