The BEST wah I've used. featured

Ease Of Use Wha pedals are generally pretty simple to use. Power up, plug in, step on, rock out. This wah is no different in that regard. However, with this unique model designed by Bob Bradshaw and produced by Dunlop you have a few more options. First, this wah has dual Fasel inductors. The two most highly sought after inductors, the red and yellow Fasel's. They are switchable with a small kick-switch on the right side of the wah. Also included with this wah is a built in MXR MC-401 Boost/Line Driver. There is a knob on the right side to adjust how much boost you need, and a kick-switch on the left side to turn it on or off. The only catch with the boost is that is only available when the wah is engaged. Finally, you have the option to adjust the each of the inductors "Q" or frequency center point via internal trim-pots if you want to customize even further.

Sound This is great sounding wah right out of the box, very full, rich and musical sounding. It is hardwire bypass so does not alter your tone when disengaged, and uses high quality components internally for great sound.

Really all you need to do is pick one of the inductors to use, and decide if you want a boost or not. The yellow Fasel is a more high end frequency range, very "quacky" and sounds great with a guitar loaded with humbuckers. The red Fasel is more throaty and low end oriented, less "quacky" and would be great with single coils. However, single coil or humbucker, each inductor sounds great with either. There really isn't a bad sound in this wah. It is always full, thick and full of tone.

The boost/line driver is very transparent, it does not alter your tone at all, and can provide up to 20db of boost. It is great for getting your wah to cut through for lead work, or just as a minor compensation for volume drop with the wah engaged. It is up to you to decide how to use it, if at all.

I've owned a number of wah's over the years but always was sort of disappointed, not so with the CAE Wah from Dunlop. I was impressed the minute I turned it on, it was just great right off the bat. I haven't even looked at adjusting the inductor "Q" internally because it sounds great right from the factory.

Reliability As with most Dunlop wahs, it is built like a tank, very sturdy and solid feeling. I would not expect it to have an trouble with reliability.

Customer Support I've dealt with Dunlop on an unrelated product once, and they were quite helpful and easy to deal with.

Liked about it This wah sounds great, is highly customizable and has pretty much everything most people look for in a wah right out of the box, no mods required.

Didn't like There is nothing I don't like about this wah. If anything I'll say that it should have been made long ago, or that I should have looked into modded wahs a long time ago.
