A real Demon?
Ease Of Use
The unit is quite easy to setup if you are only using it as a floor unit. If you are using the MIDI features (I use a midi mouse) it is a bit more challenging for a MIDI newbie, if you are used to MIDI then it is very easy.

Sound
This is a metal players dreambox. Of course the biggest difference to usual stomp boxes ist, that this thing actually has 2 12AX7 tubes and hence has real tube sound. It also includes an analog octo-compressor and direct recording output. The overall sound quality of the unit is up to par with even more expensive studio preamps and the compressor also delivers quality of a studio rack unit.
The distortion itself can go from very warm and creamy in normal mode, to absolutely apocalyptic mean in "nuclear" mode.
The unit has a very own sound character which I really like and tends a little bit towards vintage mesa voicings (not that it sounds exactly like that). The overall versatility is great and I think even non-metal players can create extremely nice sounds with this unit.
You really should check out this unit, if you are looking into a premium distortion and pre-amp.

Reliability
This unit is built like a tank, full metal enclosure, metal knobs and it feels very heavy duty.
