Boss DD-6 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal

Boss DD-6 Digital delay and effects!!!

Searched Boss DD-6 Digital Delay Guitar Effects Pedal in Reviews

Great little separate delay pedal, quite pricey however featured

Ease Of Use The pedal is pretty easy to use, just normal a stomp box interface to activate/deactivate it.
The pedal is flexible and laid out in a fairly intuitive way with 4 main controls offering up pre programmed delay times, decay times and volume controls. Without knowing what each control does within 15 minutes of playing with it and a quick glance at the manual and things will be fine.

The pedal features a touch tempo stomp function which lets you select the delay timings without having to bend down and play with the controls, useful but hard to get spot on when using during gigs.

Sound Sound is always clear, effectively does what it says on the tin, it's a delay pedal.
Pedal doesn't interfere or hiss with the sound, always sounded good through my Marshall head.

Reliability Boss pedals are built like bricks, the pedal hasn't ever given me an issue where it didn't work due to being unreliable.

Customer Support Not dealt with Boss as a company, haven't needed to as nothing has ever broke on me.

Liked about it Good flexibility of delay time signatures
Nice tap tempo feature included in the pedal
Very well built, solid design

Didn't like Gotta be careful when changing the battery as the battery lead can get caught in the internal foot spring with the potential to sheer. Otherwise no complaints.

Nice, essential effect

Ease Of Use I found this delay a little more challenging to use initially, but after toying with it for about 20min you really start to get the jist of it. This isn't a standard delay. It has a mode that allows you to set the delay at a selected tempo without having to turn any knobs. Basically, you just keep stomping the pedal at the tempo you would like to set the delay and it is really responsive and accurate.

Sound At the time, I was using it with a Marshall DSL100 and a Jackson SL1 soloist. I liked the selective tempo option and that's was I primarily used to have the delay match the tempo of whatever I was playing. Also, I believe a slight delay is essential for lead playing and I was able to get a get "lead" delay out of it.

Reliability It's a boss! It's hard as a rock.

Customer Support Never had to deal with them.

Liked about it Very Solid construction
Can easily create a "personalized" delay
Ease of Use

Didn't like Initially confusing
Knobs are a little too close together

Delayed versatility!!!!!

Ease Of Use The Boss DD-6 is a n easy to use and very versatile pedal. I found the pedal to be clear and work well with other effects like flanger and phaser!!

The instruction manual is clear and accurate...but as always, you should get yourself familiar with the instructions and the workings of any piece of gear before use!!!

Sound Main guitar is an Ibanez Universe UV7BK running into a Crate Excalibur 120W head and a Blue Voodoo quad box!!
The stereo input/output works well for true stereo delay and panning effects and with over 5 seconds of delay time (5,200ms) theres ample room to play!!!The tap tempo doesnt require an external footswitch and the reverse mode creates some weird yet cool backwards effects. As an added bonus the Warp mode generates radical delay effects!!!
The DD-6 isnt noisy and is great funn more than anything else!!!

Reliability Reliability has always been part of Boss's reputation and fear not, they dont call them 'stomp' boxes for nothing.......this and all other Boss pedals can take a thrashing of epic proportions!!!
No fear in gigging with it and not bringing a back-up!!!

Customer Support Never had to deal with Boss for anything so i dont know!! Havent heard of others having problems either!!!

Liked about it 1- sturdy, solid construction
2- easy to read face panel
3- great instruction manual
4- heaps of options and fun to use!!!

Didn't like Theres nothing i personally dont like about the pedal..its great!!

Great delay pedal but a bit limited

Ease Of Use Alrighty, this pedal is pretty easy to use, the stomp section you step on the activate or deactivate the pedal, the four controls knobs for the level, time, feed back, and the mode.

It can run via battery or wall power, and Thats about it.

Sound I will keep this pretty short and sweet.

Great pedal for that classic delay saturated solo or going for the roomy sound, but there's just not enough possibilites on this pedals as I would like. If I were to record, I would rather deal with vst effects then waste time using this pedal. It just feels too limited imo. Also a reverse delay option would be very nice to have on this pedal if that is possible.

This pedal is great to have on any fxloop/board for that smooth delay sound that were hear very often with leads.

Reliability Its a good stable pedal. I would use it live or for recording situations.

Customer Support N/A

Liked about it The types of delays it offers is indeed nice.
Easy use.

Didn't like Not enough sound possibilites. Because of that, I always end up using vst effects of cool delay effects

Nothing much to not like about this pedal!

Worth the cash

Ease Of Use easy to use, which is a good thing, not too difficult to operate, but it takes some time to finally figure it out.

Sound it is a quiet pedal no noise while you not playing, good delay sound very useful for a digital pedal, you wnot going to get a fat warm sound out of it, but it still useful.

Reliability so far no issues, you can't go rong with boss.

Customer Support haven't had the need for it.

Liked about it small compact pedal with a good sound, which gives me the sound that i need.

Didn't like wish it had a fatter warmer sound.
