Fantastic Pedal Tuner, super value for the price. featured

Ease Of Use The Pitchblack is one of the best pedal tuners you can buy in my opinion. The unit is very simple to use, all you need to do is choose a display mode that you like. You can alter the calibration if you need to, but most players won't need this. As it is chromatic, flat or alternate tunings are easy, since the note names are displayed on the awesome display.

The display modes are debatable, everyone will find one they like to use. Personally, I like standard meter mode, and the mirror mode. However, the beauty of the unit is the bright and clear display. On stage, or in your bedroom, it's easy to see from a distance, and looks pretty cool too.

Put it this way, I used to have two other pedal tuners, a Boss TU-2 which has been replaced by the Pitchblack on my small pedalboard, and the Peterson Strobostomp on my workbench, which has been replaced by the Pitchblack+ ( Plus ). The Pitchblack does everything the TU-2 did, only more transparent, and better. I loved it so much I ditched my Strobostomp and went with the Plus for the more accurate tuning modes for setups, and gigs where I might have use for its other features, which I won't go into. Either way the Pitchblack family are great tuners.

The Pitchblack can be had for less than a hundred dollars, and is worth every penny, and then some. I've even given a couple as gifts to friends who were still using a Boss or other tuner.

Sound Very transparent, I don't notice it when its plugged in at all. I run it right from the guitar into my other pedals, then to my amp.

Reliability It is surprisingly solid, when I first saw one I expected it to be plastic and cheap feeling, but it is metal and feels quite solid. Mine has never broken, and I would not hesitate to gig it without any backup.

Customer Support Have not needed support.

Liked about it I love the display, and the multiple display modes that are available. The styling is top notch, it is a small pedal, unobtrusive and simple. It is very well built, and does not alter my tone.

Didn't like I really have nothing negative to say about the Pitchblack, the only thing I'd prefer is if it had been free.
