Best pedal tuner I have ever used featured

Ease Of Use Tuners are generally thought of as the simplest pedals to operate; you turn it on, tune, and then you turn it off. What people don't realize, is that all of the complexity comes from the user interpreting the display. So in a sense, tuners are actually quite complex and difficult to operate. The Sonic Research tuner is probably the simplest tuner I have ever used. I have been a long time user of the Boss TU-2, and while that had less 'bells and whistles', it was considerably harder to read/ tune from. The features are pretty well documented: actual strobe display, true bypass, 5 presets, flat modes, etc...; quite a feature packed tuner. The strobe display is quite a bit different from the more common 'needle' and standard 'LED' display, so it takes some getting used to. But once you get acclimated to it, I promise you won't want to go back. Just wait for the lights to stop moving and you are in tune. Another great thing is how fast this tuner tracks the notes. The Boss TU-2 would jump around a bit and lag before deciding on a note. The Turbo Tuner does not do this at all.

Sound Well, the only thing to say in this category, is that the Turbo Tuner is true bypass. This means it will not change your tone when it is off. :)

Sonic Research Turbo Tuner review (video)

Reliability So far, the Turbo Tuner has proven to be quite reliable. Granted, it does just sit on my pedalboard, but it is quite study. It is enclosed in a MXR style box which is small and space saving, not to mention sturdy!

Customer Support I received my Turbo Tuner three days after I placed my order, and that was from CA to NC. Great service so far!

Liked about it Super accurate
Lot's of usable features
Reasonably Priced

Didn't like Not generally stocked in stores, so I couldn't try before I bought
Display may not show up well in bright sunlight
A blue strobe would have been cool!

Great little tuner. featured

Ease Of Use I've had this tuner a couple months now and have been favorably impressed with it. I decided, because I wanted to do the intonation on a new guitar myself that I'd invest in a more accurate tuner but I still wanted to have something to put on my pedal board. After some research I bought the Turbo Tuner. Plug in, step on it and tune away. I've only used the programmed chromatic tuning so far, so I won't comment on the user-programmability, but it seems easy enough and the manual is well written. The strobe LED's can throw you for a loop, but you get used to recognizing it after one or two tune-ups.

Sound It get's my guitar in tune. That's a blessing and a curse because I now instantly hear when someone is out of tune or the intonation is off, but there you go. It grabs the note immediately, unlike lesser priced tuners that take a moment or two to figure out the note you're playing, or have trouble identifying the note because of overtones. This tuner doesn't have those problems and tuning up is easier, faster, and more accurate than anything else I've used.

Reliability It's in an aluminum box and seems very sturdy. The switch is solid despite stomping on it and the jacks are metal. I have no problems gigging with it. It's very similar to an MXR pedal in size and component setup and it's not given me any troubles.

Customer Support I ordered directly from them and had the pedal in 2 days. Very fast, the people answered my emails and my questions.

Liked about it 1. It's very accurate, very very accurate.
2. It grabs onto the note quickly and allows you to tune up faster and more precise than a digital needle.
3. It's small and fits well on my pedal board but the LED is big enough to easily read.
4. Mutes my output so people don't have to hear me tuning at a gig.

Didn't like 1. Programming people might prefer the desktop model as you have to scroll through menus with only 2 buttons to adjust tunings for stuff like buzz feiten.
2. Built in mic on the desktop version would've been nice on this, but I can understand it not being there.
