An excellent investment in your rig... featured

Ease Of Use Easy to set up and use with a very good instruction manual that provides information about pedal boards, connections and basically everything that you will need to get your pedal board set up with this unit - and sounding better than ever.

Sound Another great review by Severinsteelsmit below but I wanted to add another just to reinforce how important it is to have clean, reliable isolated power to your pedals. If you're like me and you like to run quite a few pedals then I think this is an essential addition to your rig. As soon as I hooked this unit up and ran all of my pedals into it I was surprised at how noticeable the difference was - noise & hum was gone and the signal seemed clearer and stronger. I have spent a lot of money on pedals and this has been an absolutely essential addition to my rig. I'm willing to bet you will be pleasantly surprised by the difference that this unit makes to your signal path. If you are considering buying this unit I would encourage you to make the investment - you won't be sorry.

Reliability I have had this unit for over a year, and I use it every week playing in a band, and it has functioned perfectly. In my opinion, Voodoo Lab is an excellent company that makes quality gear so I have no concerns about reliability with this unit.

Customer Support I called Voodoo Lab before I bought the unit and the person that I spoke with on the phone was friendly and helpful. I also called them after I bought the unit to get another connector and again they were helpful and they shipped the connector out to me promptly so I give Voodoo Lab full marks here. I especially like companies that you can call and talk to a human - are you listening Ibanez ;op

Liked about it Clean reliable power that actually improved the overall tone of my rig - less noise and a clearer stronger signal.
Also provides different power options (e.g. power sag, etc.).
An excellent unit that does exactly as advertised - nice :o)

Didn't like It's a little expensive but I believe it's totally worth it.
I've already filled up all 8 outlets so maybe a couple more outlets would be nice....but I think pedal junkies like me will fill up however many outlets we get ;o)

The standard for high quality pedal power supplies featured

Ease Of Use Much like Marshall did with the 4x12 cab, Voodoo Lab has set the standard for high quality pedal power supplies. There are others out there, but most are just variations upon Voodoo Lab's design. This is a very easy unit to operate. There is not even a on/ off switch to toggle, you just plug it in and it fires up. The one thing that may confuse people are the differences between the power outputs. Without quoting the instructions, you can power pretty much any type of pedal between 9 and 12 volts and with a variety of mA specs depending on how you set the DIP switches on the bottom. Once you get a handle on which outlets to use with which types of pedals, it is a set and forget kinda thing. I have both of my Pedal Powers mounted underneath Pedaltrains. On the recent Pedaltrains, they include a set of mounting brackets and instructions on how to mount them which is a great feature. So, with a little reading of the instructions, you should be good to go!

Sound Well, this has done wonders for cleaning up my signal path. If you have issues with hum or weird noises, chances are this unit will pretty much eliminate them. Each outlet is isolated which helps keep power related noise to a minimum. Any serious player using more than 3 or 4 pedals needs to seriously consider purchasing one of these, especially if they are playing out. When you are gigging, you will typically run into a lot of different power issues with the venue. This is a great solution for those problems. Another cool feature are the 'sag' controls on the last two power outputs. You can simulate a dying battery and lower the voltage going to the pedal for some cool sounds. Give it a try on a drive or fuzz pedal.

Reliability I currently own two different models of the Pedal Power, the Pedal Power 2 and the Pedal Power 2 plus. Neither of them have given me ANY issues whatsoever. I leave both of them on almost all of the time and have no worries about either failing.

Customer Support I have purchased some extra power cables from the company and spoke on the phone with a rep. He was very helpful and my cables came to me very quickly. So the customer service is top notch. You know when you can speak to someone on the phone that you have good service!

Liked about it Reliable!
Cleans up power very nicely
Lots of power options

Didn't like Bulky
A little Pricey
Somehow, I always need more than 8 outputs

Expensive, but probably worth it.

Ease Of Use The Voodoo is really easy to use out of the box. Clear instructions most folks probably won't even ever need if they have all 9V stompboxes. Setup was a snap. Lots of odd cables, probably more than most folks need. And 8 outlets is probably (I said probably!) more than most folks can use.

Sound The sound is fine. My signal path suffers from (I think) guitar shielding issues, but it can still get nearly perfectly silent using the Voodoo. I have not A/B'd 9Vs vs. the Voodoo, but hearing how quiet it can be already, I'll be much more than satisfied if I can just get my cable/shielding issues squared away.

I've not used the SAG feature (simulates a semi-dead battery for tonal variation), but I look forward to giving it a shot someday if I get a suitable pedal.

Reliability Got it about a month ago, works fine so far. Dave Weiner from Steve Vai's band swears by these units. That's the only reason I spent so much on a battery replacer!

Customer Support n/a

Liked about it I like the number of available plugs, variable power settings and the repute of the unit's reliability. Not much else TO like, it's a power supplier!

Oh yeah... except it's black and BLACK IS METAL!!!!!!!!!

Didn't like Cost! The Voodoo is VERY spendy though, if it lasts, it should pay for itself in dead and expensive 9 Volt batteries. But the very high cost brings this down from a 5 to a 4. (I'm a very cheap man.)
