Boss RC-2 Loop Station Effect Pedal
Searched Boss RC-2 Loop Station Effect Pedal in Reviews
Great loop pedal for a great price!
| Ease Of Use |
Ok, reading the manual is very important to learning the ins and outs of this nifty stomp box. So if you don't like having to sift through pages of a manual then this is not the pedal for you. However, if you aren't apprehensive about a bit of educational reading, then this pedal offers great function in a portable device.

I use this pedal for many situations. It comes in handy for brainstorming and layering ideas. It's built in drum rhythms really help with the creative flow and offers a vast variety of different grooves to assist on any compositional exploration. Even comes with some backing tracks straight from the factory so that you can have fun with it right out of the box. Additional 3.5" aux input also comes in handy for recording from different devices. I find this unit more useful in a solo setting. In a live full band setting it might be wise to send the output to a different amp or p.a. altogether due to the fact that the layered guitars might start to get muddy all trying to speak through one amplifier. I tend to use it more to trigger certain pre-recorded rhythm guitar parts so I feed the out separately.

Boss sure knows how to make them sturdy. These pedals will outlast us.

Good for the size.
| Ease Of Use |
It's a good pedal, not overwhelming or surprising in it's function....it's a Boss.
It's fairly easy to use once you read the manual and spend some time with it. It is easier to use than my old rackmount rocktron unit, more durable, cheaper, and best of all smaller.
My unit is stock.

I use it with my fender preosonic with tele's and strats o clean and slightly overdriven settings. I've rarely used it on high gain amps or my shredder guitars... i dont really prefer to loop over ultra gainy Clint anyways.
I like this better than my rocktron since i rarely use more than one loop at once and rack mounted gear is a turn off to me, and it is definately better than my boss dd-7.

I can depend on it, i have had over a dozen boss products and they have never let me down when used correctly.

Great sounding pedal, but too confusing...
| Ease Of Use |
It is very good at creating the loops as needed. Unfortunately, it isn't user friendly on the fly and the owner's manual makes using this pedal confusing.
|
| Sound |
I used this pedal in a couple of different rigs - both acoustic and electric. Using a Takamine acoustic straight into the mixer produced no noticable noise. I used several differnt electrics (Ibanez, ESP, PRS) into a PV 5150 and did notice some noise, but nothing more then any BOSS pedal.

| Reliability |
As with most BOSS products, it's built like a tank! The switch will take a ton of abuse, but on a pedal like this the switch won't see the same amount of abuse as an overdrive, ect. I would feel very confident taking it gigging if it was easier to use.

Overall Good, tad bit expensive though..
| Ease Of Use |
This pedal was very easy to use. I was messing with it before I even read the instructions. It is very straight forward.
|

This pedal recorded a very nice clean sound. And then if i was using effects it picked those up very nicely too. The drum tracks it comes with are very..simple, but they are still very helpful in completely the whole-one man band vibe. Very very fun to use

I had it for about a year before I sold it, and I never had any problems with it, in fact-when I sold it, It looked and operated as if it were brand new.

good you can find better.
| Ease Of Use |
this pedal actualy was easy to use not so many knub to deal with only 4,there some learning time to put in but thats normal to any looper, after short time you can find your self soloing over you'r backing tracks.

well i'm using ibanez jem with a yamaha dg80-112 amp, and its not noisey at all,i guess there is only one issue
with the recorded volume, its hard to sync with you'r overdubs, i guess need more a justment to get it right,
but no big issue.
