nice clear transparent sound featured

Ease Of Use First of all, this unit gave me a hard time when I first bought it when I was going thru the preset mode. I mean moving from 1 preset to another is such a task. I spent like a week on the manual mode and got tired of reaching the floor so tried to practice the tapping sequence to bank up and down (or whatever you call it). so i got the hang of it and surely it paid off and I've been cruising thru the bank and preset mode whenever i wanted to. However I recommend not to use 2 presets in the same song especially in a gig. cause you might trip and god knows what. but hey, there's a dual engine so you can combine 2 types of modulation if your bored with just one

next thing about this unit is the banking mode, although there are a lot of good presets like the Eric Johnson chorus, you'll have plenty of options because of the tweaking capabilities. just spent time on the manual and you'll be fine. you can bank 9 and edit other the 9 presets so that's 18. finding the sound you want is easy, what I did was try first in the manual mode, then list in paper and then banked it.

If your that creative enough and don't mind the switching task from one patch to another then this unit is for you. Else buy the MM4 with the volume drop or save some money for the eventide

Sound I wouldn't have spent time figuring the operation of this box if it wasn't for the sound quality. its clear and transparent and not muddy at all(unless you max out a lot of knobs). I tried it once in stereo function and I could say it's best on that mode. here's 2 sample clips to check it our for yourself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vt5p7j0Oe7o

Now for the harsh dirt / distortion issue, actually there's a calibration function that let's you tell the unit your max gain settings so it'll adjust to your max setting. by this you have to put it after the gain pedals. to be more specific here's my set up guitar-->wah-->Dist-->Comp-->OD-->EQ-->Nova--> so on... first it did have that sharp sound, but after calibration it worked fine and no harsh sound came out of the amp.

However, putting the Nova Mod before the dirt pedals is another issue and it's by how you set your signal chain. And by this its safe to say that any other pedal would react the same (harshly)

Reliability yes you can.. depend on it

Customer Support just one time asked our authorized dealer how to restore to factory settings cause its not in the manual. Our authorized dealer in our area responded thru mail for the procedure (almost similar to the calibration procedure)

Liked about it 1. Sound Quality
2. tweaking capabilities (including dual engine), tons of tones
3. 9 kick a$$ modulations(up to 18 settings) with 1 unit and the size of less than 2 compact pedals

Didn't like 1. switching process (which they would've invented a foot switch for banking - I'd buy that)
2. PRICE!!! well at least you don't have to buy 9 different modulation pedals
3. only works with the power supply it came with

a good unit, but not so good with distortion in front of it....

Ease Of Use It's fairly easy to use.....and most TC stuff is super high quality.

Sound I liked the sounds from the Nova, but when I was using dirt pedals in front of it, it seemed sort of harsh and unforgiving. The overdrive and distortion pedals in front of the Nova Modulator really brought out the harsh digital edge of the unit. So I ended up selling it, and went with the Line 6 M9, which sounds a LOT better with my rig. If you use this in your effects loop of your amp, you may have better results than I did.

Reliability TC pedals have been very reliable for me over the years

Customer Support yes....they even sent me some knobs for my old TC Sustain/Parametric EQ for free, and have always emailed back within 48 hours.

Liked about it Nice range of presets, cool TRI CHORUS models, and thru zero flanging, very Hendrixey....

Didn't like harsh digital edge when dirt pedals used in front of it.....
