A great Strat pickup!
| Comments |
I put these pickups in my Fender USA Fat Strat in the neck and middle position. They were replacing Fender CS Texas Specials. I used to be very happy with the Fender pickups so I did not expect any improvement when I wired them in. I was so wrong.
These pickups took my Strat literally to the next level. The Texas Specials aren't bad, really, but with the Irish Tour SCs, it sounded so much better, it was incredible. There was a big improvement on the clean tone, now my Strat really sounds like a good Strat should. The BKPs let the dynamics in my playing more come through, they have a bigger response do slightly different pick attacks and let the guitar ring like a wonderful bell. The crunch sound is incredible, too. I had some SRV-style sound with the Fender pickups before, but now I AM SRV ;)
Best singlecoils I ever had (playing and swithcing pickups for 10 years now), the search is over. This is my favourite Strat pickup. Period.
