I have owned several Carvins, and Sperzels are on all of them. While I own other guitars with different tuners that are as smooth in operation and are quite accurate, I can think of none I like any better. I have these installed even on locking trem setups. Reason being, it makes string changes much faster. Run the string through the tuner post hole, lock it and tune the string. There is no string winding necessary. It is this feature that also makes this tuner work well with non-locking trems; as long as there isn't excessive friction at the nut, your guitar will stay in tune very well except under the most extreme whammy use. The finish on these tuners is also very durable. I have them on a bass and guitar, both over 20 years old, and they still look new.

I don't know of anything to dislike about them. I haven't seen them in a Cosmo color to use on my latest Ibanez purchase.

The worlds Best tuners

I bought mine in chrome. it has staggered peg holes so that it would arrange the strings neatly from lower E to Hi E in a descending order, very nice!! the tuner pins measurement ruler is also included in its package, for easy measurements for installation.
