You can buy these as a calibrated set, or as I have, individual units.

The sound is as you would expect from a strat replacement pickup, glassy and smooth. They work well in the neck and middle positions, particularly when played in position 2 of a 5 way switch in hum cancelling mode.

The overall sound is bright enough to play fingerstyle, with out being too shrill or losing that vintage strat tone. The clarity of these pickups is pretty amazing and sweep picked arpeggios with a slightly over driven sound makes you realise that you really don't always have to play with humbuckers all the time.

A reall nice surprise is the harmonics. They respond very well to your playing dynamics meaning that you don't even have to roll off the volume to change the mood.

Even artificial harmonics sound out easily, belying that these units are capable of dishing out more than just a strat tone. Perhaps they pack more punch than I originally thought!
