If you have a Strat, you know that you can't divebomb like a floyd and expect the guitar to come back in tune like one. The reason why this happens, is that there are places where strings get caught which can upset the equilibrium of the bridge. There are things you can do to greatly reduce this binding. Probably one of the most, if not the most important element is getting a proper nut. For a trem, the graph tech nut is a great option. It will greatly reduce, if not eliminate this binding. You may have heard of people using graphite shavings from a pencil in their nut. Well, this is the best option. Like I mentioned in another review on the same topic, this is but one piece of the puzzle when it comes to non-locking trem stability, but it IS a vital piece. I would also recommend installing locking tuners, graphite saddles, and graphite string trees. Plus, this is a quality nut for very cheap.
