While I respect Martin and the Thinline in theory, it only is what it is...
That is to say that when first installing a Thinline into your guitar (by an authorized Martin luthier), you somehow expect more. It picks up the crisp sound of your guitar but desperately needs a pre amp of some kind to complete it. However for all of the ease with which it installs into your guitar you get what you get...Which is not always a bad thing! Having a built in eq would solve all of this but of course make installation that much more difficult and expensive...Finding the right pre amp then becomes the issue, but once solved the Thinline definitely does the job!!

Liked about it	1) Durability 2) Clear, clean and crisp sound 3) Once installed it is there for the life of the instrument...
Didn't like	1) Should be made with a built in eq to solve sound problems 2) Too brassy of a sound to make it pleasing for too long of a time 3) Unfortunately it's the better buy for the money...
