This app was the final straw that made me buy an Iphone. The test model I was playing with had this installed, and it was the first app I donwloaded. So what does it do?
There are several functions as follows:
Chromatic Tuner: Does what it says on the tin. The tuner uses the handset microphone and gives you the usual reading. There is also a high contrast mode, presumably for when you are on stage. You don't need to carry a separate tuner now! Ok it's not a strobe, but it is pretty handy.
Virtual fret board lets you tap to sound out notes and strum the strings, but not at the same time. You can display scales and their intervals as well in different tunings. Just don't be embarrassed when someone finds you tapping out the intro to Sweet Child o'Mine!
Metronome. Set the tempo or use the tap feature. Can use a variety of time signatures as well as other options.
Chords. chord library shows just about every imaginable chord with strumming to sound and several differnet voicings per chord. The chord finder (click the magnifying glass icon) is amazing. You just tap where the notes are and it tells you the chord. Really useful.
You get a choice of instruments from through guitarto banjo, bass and ukelele in a variety of tunings and reference pitches, and it even does left handed.
This is a great piece of software for beginners and experienced players alike. In terms of value just think how much you spent on scale charts, chord books, pocket tuners, metronomes etc. This software probably works out the same cost as one of the cheapest items.

Immediate ready reference
Chord finder and library, and scales makes this indispensable.
Price. for an Iphone app it is relatively expensive, but when you think about what you are actually getting it is unbelievable value.

No seven string
Sometimes when strumming you accidentally enter an options menu.
Strumming and fretting doesn't work in unison. It is not a fun "guitar for the Iphone" type app.

Best $10 I ever spent!

This is an excellent practice tool for anyone on the go. I actually purchased this App for the metronome alone, but all of the other features are awesome! Plus, the tuner works as well as any tuner with a microphone I have ever used.
What I find most helpful these days is the chord finder. It is pretty amazing how much info they have included. The interface is also very cool and easy to use. The chords available seem to be pretty complete, so much so that I haven't been referring to any of my chord books.
If you have an iphone and you play guitar, than you need this app. I promise you will find a use for it, even if you think you wouldn't use it much.
