Hey guys,
so I got the Flame guitar that Steve gave me out of storage for the first time in a loooooong time!
I restrung it, fired it up into my rig, whacked a drum beat on and had a play with it!
I made a video of it which is on my Facebook page /Mcrocklin
I don't know if I can share it directly here as it's a Facebook video?
However, it actually played REALLY nicely, in fact the only thing "wrong" was the action was a little high.
Quite amazing how after what must be almost 20 years or so in storage, that was the only thing "not right" with it.
I took some shots of it which are currently on my Instagram account, I'll upload them to Imgur asap to share directly on here with you guys.
Hey Thomas, I enjoyed your chat on Dave Weiner's site, Guitopia, Saturday. Thanks for the close up and history of your Flame guitar and the Floral Jem that was painted over.

She does!
It just arrived here with me!
I've got a sneak peak before it gets cleaned up on my Instagram story today.
I'm really excited to see how it feels after I clean it up and set her up!
I've always wondered, how careful do you have to be with the flame guitar? The upper horn (or upper flames i guess) always looked so vulnerable even to a small accident, i'd be super worried about snapping the wood, are you?
Hey, you know, Steve played this guitar pretty hard and was always throwing it around his neck etc lol.
i haven't bashed it but I guess they're sturdier than what we imagine. Best I don't try too hard though!
