hey guys, you may have seen my first entry for the Doritos contest. They want funny and clever with some slapstick in there, etc etc. I wrote, directed, shot and edited 6 of them! I only meant to do one. Anyway, all entries are in (over 3000) and judging begins 1-5-2010. You can see all entries at crashthesuperbowl.com. the name I go under for director is guitarkid. Here are links to mine on youtube. Let me know what you think. This first one (shot downtown - anyone recognize the location?) got over 2000 views in less than the first 12 hours. we were shocked.

I reworked all the audio on these commercials during post. No audio from the camera was used due to wind, quality and issues from background noises on set. All audio was completely stripped from clips during editing and recreated from my sound effects library. Some of the sounds I created (foley) on my own in the studio and actors did voice overs.

I used to use Mozilla's slimbrowser, and I liked the new tab auto create feature which automatically creates a new tab when you type a URL in the URL bar, and then clicked enter.

I switched to firefox 3.5 because it was a lot better overall. Does the current version of firefox have this auto tab create?

So many times I was working on a project in a particular tab, and then I needed to visit a website for more info, but when I clicked enter the new site would pop up in my the tab I was currently working in, and this messes up my project because it clears everything I had done on that page, and I have to start over.

I haven't found an auto tab create feature for firefox yet. Does anyone know if this is possible?? I know pressing "ctrl" will open links in a new tab, and "alt" will open up a new tab, but this doesn't always work, and I always don't remember to do this. So I need something that automatically does this so I don't have to think about it when I'm focused on other things

freight shipping question

Does anyone know if you can have a freight order shipped to a local UPS/Fedex center and then you can go there and pick up the delivery??

For example, if someone lives in a small condo complex where they are not allowed to receive freight shipments, can they have the freight shipping truck deliver their goods to a local UPS/Fedex Center, or another similar place, so they could come by and pick up the goods there??

I have a friend in this situation, he has a business, but is basically living in an apartment/condo complex and cannot or is not allowed to receive freight deliveries to his place, and he is about to make a large order for his inventory, but the supplier quoted him a freight charge. Of course freight is a lot cheaper than non-freight so he wants to save a lot on shipping.

Is there a place where he can ship the freight order where he can go there and pick everything up?

Chris
