Q. How do I get a Custom Avatar?
Custom Avatars are available to "site contributors", moderators, vendors and those who have purchased a
paid subscription specifically for custom avatars. These are not available to other members at this time.
Q. What exactly is a Custom Avatar?
These are little pictures that appear next to your username and help identify your username. These are 64x64 pixel jpg/gif files under 5Kb filesize to be considerate to others on slower connections who still wish to view Avatars. Eligible members can upload their own custom avatar.
Q. I'm eligible, how do i upload my Avatar?
* create a 64x64 pixel gif/jpg under 5Kb filesize.
* click
User CP from navigation menu
* click
Edit Avatar (if it's not visible, you're not eligible)
* Browse the file, upload and save changes.
Q. When uploading it says "upload failed" and I have no Avatar. Help?
* you tried to upload a file that was inappropriate as to size 64x64, filesize 5Kb, or type (jpg/gif NON-animated).
* hint - compress your JPG more to a "smaller" size if your 64x64 jpg is too large.
Q. Other sites have Avatars and are free!

Hehe.... look managed, dedicated servers are not cheap nor does this site and forum magically run itself. Custom Avatars are just another method to help fund this site and keep it running free for use, as it has existed since 1997.
Q. How do I DISABLE VIEWING AVATARS?
