The forum has grown quite a bit lately, which brings many fresh faces, differing opinons and lively new discussions. Some newer members have even taken the place of forum old-timers, who are unable to post as much. Due to this increased traffic and activity, effective immediately, Jemsite will be adding an
additional moderator to help out the current Moderators and Administrator
* * * Please offer a warm welcome to longtime
* * * jemsite member Jono as a new moderator
Jono has been a regular at this site from the pre-dot-com days and is gracious to help! He was a participant in the original forum (and the one after that)... you can even find a nice "scrapbook" entry on jemsite he submitted in the old days. With a broad knowlege and long history of
guitar playing, Jono is a natural fit. He resides in England, which offers a nice contrast to the current Moderators while allowing a staggered time-zone coverage of the forum.
In the past, some members have emailed or offered services to moderate the forum, or some areas of the forum. I appreciate this generous offer of your time! Everyone should take to heart that moderator selection is NOT a popularity contest or competition... just as musical espression is not. Jono has been a longtime online friend and we are lucky to have him available as an
addition to the Moderation Team.
I'd like to offer thanks to the existing Moderators as well for the fine job they are doing in keeping this Forum a meaningful, yet fun place to visit.

It is regretful that for 2002 we might lose a current moderator or two due to offline/real-life commitments and hence their lack of availability to participate at the forum
Welcome Jono and thanks!
