I'm showing a bunch of crazy stuff today, I don't know if its due to the new firefox update or something server side, I'm showing posts with all the keywords, some avatars not showing up, just "so-and-so's Avatar" in it place. it wasn't doing this yesterday.

That's a blackhat SEO technique called "keyword stuffing", where they take a load of keywords that normally should be actual content, and put them in such a way in the HTML where a search engine can find them but we as normal visitors won't see the text.

If you look at the HTML source of a few of these pages, you can see the floating div's with the keywords.

The issue with the tag words showing is unknown to us and I request that if a user suffers this please contact us via the "contact us".

As for the missing images - there was a service issue with the Amazon servers that host all the images (including avatars and emoticons). It has since been fixed and the site should be back to normal.

Avatar pics on the forum landing page and profile pics in a user's personal profile still do not work.

FYI - Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) was down for more than eight hours over the weekend, affecting many prominent sites, and the company is still investigating the cause of the problem.

Ok, it's a go...

Late Saturday Night / early Sunday Morning EST jemsite will be revamped as follows:

New Jemsite Home Page - a lot more colorful, with great features such as: Latest Posts and Most Popular Threads, as well as Video of the Day and News.
